Sounds good! Check away! And since when is doing your job being anal?Coleman wrote:I'm still checking the xml, recent bug quenches have made me a bit anal about it, so it takes me some time.wicked wrote:How about we spread the news to the CC world about this map by quenching it?
If the xml checks out I'll recommend this to Andy.

Andy has to do some things I don't know how to do (or even what they are), and then he will say the map is quenched with an announcement.
Then lackattack has to do more stuff I'm not sure Andy even knows how to do and then we can play the maps.
Unfortunately, I'd say it would be at least a week, maybe two, possibly even longer.

I can't figure out how to get the armies exactly on the map where the coordinates are... i can save the armies and try to add them as a layer with Photoshop...but things don't line up exactly. i can' move them so they are inside the armies circles..but that wouldn't be the coordinates that i have in my xmlAndyDufresne wrote:Sorry, was unexpectedly out of town this weekend. Could you post the images with the coordinates centralized (just to check), and also the text links to the small and large maps, along with the XML?

Next time have a smaller large map
Umm. Well I did it on yours by disabling all toolbars and status bars on my firefox browser to get more space (I also hid my taskbar)
But, imageshack won't let me host an image that large, so it reduces the size of it.
Also, almost all of your coordinates are off anyway (unless I have the wrong XML (though I got it from Coleman's post so I doubt that)) Or, your circles aren't the right size.
So, you should fix that problem first then you can worry about hosting the image.

here's the large test image. indeed the army numbers are a bit off.
btw you might want to upgrade to a larger display, it really helps to make print screens

edit// damn i tilted the cut downwards. well at least every army is visible
if you want i can make another one

i would also like to state that nao all the maps are exactly perfect and they play just fine. these slight adjustments should'nt even really be noticed when playing the game. i'm starting to think some comment's are getting a little ticky tacky. thank's for posting the number's thouhg, dim she was having a little trouble.
Actually the army centering is important. Final Forge is reserved for Nit Picking, otherwise we'd just quench the maps and not have a Final Forge.
That said, the xml is technically correct, but it would be much more professional looking if the army numbers could be centered correctly.
One thing I'd recommend is making a layer in photoshop for army numbers and centering them that way, than using that image to make sure the xml is right (it'll be obvious when it isn't because the numbers won't perfectly overlap).
