"I will calculate votes based on a scoring system yet to be determined. Just like the real election it will be possible to win the Presidency without winning the Majority. What a great country we have here?"
Will the finals double battles be on the same maps as the primary debates?
It's not explicit in the post but I think it would be cool if some new maps were used after that... maybe American Civil War, Great Lakes, North America, Rail USA, San Francisco, USA, and USA Apocalypse?
Also, any new developments on how the scoring system will work? I see how the states are divided out in the 4th post but will it just be one game per region? I think it might be interesting if the points are based on the length of the game, i.e. if it takes a long time for one side to win then maybe it was a closer race and thus the loser of the game may still take a state or two from the region. This would add an element of subjectivity unless the rules were clearly established before the game was started and would have to be well thought-out. I'm eager to see how this tournament develops!

Those 13 regions are winner take all Electoral votes - My formula (in development) will give an actual Popular Vote - Hence the ability to win the overall Popular vote but lose do to electoral College - but the winner of one my regions will obviously win the Pop vote for that region(every state) also. Also, any new developments on how the scoring system will work? My original plan (even though I forgot to post it) was to play the finals on Classic - reasoning is that at one time in history the President of the US was considered the leader of the Free world (not sure that is the case anymore). I also am considering just using the USA map. I do like your suggestion and we may even debate it in the chat when it gets down to the debate portion of tourney. Will the finals double battles be on the same maps as the primary debates?
