I think it would be a good idea, and incentive to give the person holding the top spot something per month. Who ever that is at the same time each month receive a check for $100. This will really start a surge of people trying to win and score. I think it will also decrease "dead beats". Just an idea, doesnt have to be money, but thought thats what most would like.

lack'll never accept this. 100 dollars a month? and all the broke people would start cheating. a surge of multis and secret alliances would happen. flaming would dramatically increase

The incentive already exists: Bragging rights, points (even if they are imaginary, most people care about them), a generous swelling of pride, etc.
