The Least Common Denominator (LCD) for 6 and 8 is 24. So, in increments of 24 it would be 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 144, 168, 192, 216, 240 ...

Everyone is going to have to be really patient for the next few days. I appear to have left my jump drive in the computer at work on Friday. That means I cannot get it back until Wednesday morning at the earliest. I will try to do what I can between now and then as far as the creation of new games in concerned, but I am not making any promises. I am very sorry about all of this. I had high hopes to getting everyone into the proper places today.

Timminz finished our game in batch 2, killing Godd, me, beanyuk, jennifermarie, and Kinnison, in reverse order.

Alright, it is time for the first update to the League Standings! There have been two games completed in Batch 2, and so I have added the results into the standings. Also, I updated the listings for the Game Batches to show the current situation in the games. Don't forget, I don't add the results of your position in a game until after the game is complete.

Also, we recently had a poll to ask how often we should have an Era Champion in order to give the players something to strive for on a regular basis. The options in the poll were to have and Era last for 15 or 21 games, but after a tie at 16 votes apiece I have decided to split the difference, and go with an 18 game Era.

I will be coming up with names for the Eras in the near future, and most likely they won't be anything super-exciting. Just something to help us distinguish between them as time moves along.

I have included a new poll at the beginning of the thread. It is to gauge interest in 8-player games on occasion throughout the league. Please vote within the next 7 days on whether or not you think we should include them.

Also, I have decided to expand the league to 48 players with the next batch of games when the time comes. That will allow us to have 8-player and 6-player games if we want to without too many complications. I have also decided that we will not allow the league to grow past 72 players at any time.

you gave BaldAdonis and cazmart 3 points each for their 3rd place finishes. The Original Post says they should be receiving 2 points. Also, that makes the most sense based on the rest of the point scoring scale.

Nope, you have to be in the current active players. You'll have plenty to vote on once you get in.

How do you go about deciding on adding new features, like 8 player games? Is it a unanimous vote, or some majority percentage?
If it's unanimous, I'd like to know why people voted no, and if they might change their minds.

Looks like we have had several more games finish over the weekend. How nice! That means we can get some more movement in the standings. I like it when that happens.

At the moment we still have 11 active games out of the first 18. Looks like we'll be waiting a little bit longer to start the next batches. I want to get it down to at least 5 or 6 before I make new games. I don't want anyone getting overloaded by any means.

Be watching your inboxes for a PM from me in the near future. I am going to be needing some more feedback soon.

Okay, just did another update to my records, and we are down to 8 active games. Once we get 2 more completed I will start the next batch and expand the league by a few players.

Oddly enough, Optimus Prime is in 1st place at the moment!

I'll post the new standings and batch results when I get back to my other computer in a couple of hours.

Africa, Ancient Greece, Arctic, Asia, Australia, BeNeLux, Brazil, British Isles, Canada, Classic, Discworld, Eight Thoughts, Europe, France, Germany, Global Warming, Great Lakes, Hong Kong, Indochina, Ireland, Italy, King of the Mountains, Middle Earth, Mongol Empire, Montreal, North America, Philippines, Portugal, San Francisco, Siege, Tamriel, USA, WWII Eastern Front (other maps will be included in the future after receiving input from the players of the league).

I'd like to see a few other maps in there: Specifically

World 2.1
Alexander's Empire
American Civil War
Bamboo Jack
Cairns Coral Coast
Caribbean Islands
CCU
Iberia
Malta
Middle East
Puget Sound
Scotland
South America

I think these all have your requirements of being fairly classic risk based without special things like bombardments etc. They're pretty standard continent based straight attack and I like the variety. I'd add RailUSA but understand that some don't like it as much.

Oh, and the only problem on the first page I saw was where you said that the 7 player game would be a 6 player game

Once per Era I will create a Fog of War, Assassin, and 7-player game. These games will be 6-player, Sequential, Flat Rate, Unlimited.
