Correct, however in almost every other country, stupid people are ignored. In the US, they're put on TV as a cultural icon and their stupidity is broadcast across the entire world!

I think you guys are missing the Xianistic frame of mind here. What she was saying is that in accordance with her belief, Jesus is equated with God. God, of course being the Creator of everything, predates all other histories and civilizations. Therefore, Christianity existed before everything else, because Jesus Christ is God, and God exists before everything else.

Not that I am agreeing with her, but I am just explaining to you her mentality. And I am okay with it...as long as she doesn't start shooting and bombing people!

i think the problem with the continuity model....true or not, im not hear to debate that, is the fact that it clearly doesnt jibe with the socially accepted history.

If your in a position where you are going to be in the public spotlight, part of that positions requirements are that you know the public normative behavior and in a sense the publicly accepted view of history. In this case, the majority of us do not believe jesus came before the Ancient Greeks, so even if you do believe it, the public arena is not the forum to make those statements as a matter of fact, as it will bring ridcule upon yourself. Especially considering she does not have any extenuating credentials which would allow her to make that claim, such as a theologian might.
