I assume you have done an analysis to determine if you would increase overall revenue via % players who are members if fee schedule reduced to the $20 or even $15? Are you sure $25 is the "sweet spot"? Personally I'll probably pay the $25 but I haven't yet. I would not have paused if it were $15 and would likely have paid within the 1st weeks for $20. Maybe my anecdotal experience could inspire a brief survey to identify behavior patterns of the players to help guide you in finding the "sweet spot" for the fee?

the price has just been increased to 25 dollars at the start of the month because of the slowdown in the US economy.
