News stories like this are what create/reinforce stereotypes. "Well, if 10,000 crazies wanna kill a woman for letter her students name a bear, then they must ALL be freakin loony."

I really don't understand the "fanatics" that are part of the Muslim religion. I understand that MOST muslims are normal people, that aren't crazy. Just like MOST Americans are normal people, that aren't crazy. Every "group" has their own "Fanatics" or "Waco's".

I know the US has it's own wackos....i mean...one went into Clinton's place today with a bomb...the uni-bomber was a white guy...and I don't understand them either....but I'm hoping somebody can explain this to me.

Why should the woman be killed? Why do these Fanatics hate American's so much? We try to be a peaceful accommodating society. All we really believe in is that people should be free to do what they want unless it violates somebody else....

Can ANYBODY explain this to me?

Right. i don't get this either. The protesters gathered straight after friday prayers, by all accounts, so it was hardline imams getting them all pumped. One spoke of 'this arrogant western woman who came to our country to prech hatred of the prohpet to our children.' Now this whacko cannot actually believe that this woman a) preached hatred or b) came to sudan to do that.
So what is his agenda? It has to be either a straight hatred of women and/or the west.

Also remember that the hardline fanatics in Sudan are the ones behind the janjaweed militias that have been butchering, pillaging and raping the darfuris.

Sadly it seems the way of the world now.Your sarcasm is misplaced.The masses say no and a few extremists say yes yes yes.Why do we still have countries with little or no human rights.I have travelled to many different countries,but I avoid those ones.
On a sarcastic note.I think they are re-naming Paddington Bear due to popular demand .I believe we are taking a vote on what to call him now..Hmmmmm
