The Last Word
by Matthew Arnold
Creep into thy narrow bed,
Creep, and let no more be said!
Vain thy onset! all stands fast.
Thou thyself must break at last!
Let the long contention cease!
Geese are swans, and swans are geese.
Let them have it how they will!
Thou art tired; best be still!
They out-talked thee, hissed thee, tore thee?
Better men fared thus before thee;
Fired their ringing shot and passed,
Hotly charged -and sank at last.
Charge once more, then, and be dumb!
Let the victors, when they come,
When thy forts of folly fail,
Find thy body by the wall!

I could love you.
Wrap a metaphor around your finger.
Punctuate each embrace,
take your gaze in the lines
of my hand and lead it to
my mouthing sweet nothing lips.
Stroke you hair with syllables
And tie it in parentheses
enunciate each advance with a alliteration
and bring you to bed with a preposition.
I’d love to love you.
The rustle of hair as i turn your face,
admire the vignette of a dimple,
the eyes that stray out of the margins
and justify my close reading
of your smile like a simile;
take my word for it : a poem by a Singaporean Writer
my word i like poems

Are there many things in this cool-hearted world so utterly exquisite
as the pure love of one woman for another?
as the pure love of one woman for another?

For bryguy.
A person tried to insult me today,
he said "Bisexual" but as if he meant "Hey!"
I suddenly realized as he walked away,
that i should have stopped
and said: "Oh really? You too? I thought you were gay."
