Tournament organizer's tabs
I am in the proses of running my first tournament and a great idea hit me. What if tournament directors had a 5th 6th and 7th tab on the "my games" page. the fifth would be 5th would be "My tournament, awaiting players" the 6th "my tournament, ongoing games" and the 7th "my tournament, recently finished". What do you all think?

I disagree Strife, I agree with soundout9 I think it's a great idea and could make it muchhhhh easier for the tournament directors.Strife wrote:I think that might be a little confusing, but helpful. It really just organizes the games where as now we have to do it oursleves. But Hopefully it does come out in a new update. It really shouldnt be that hard to program. Anyone with tourny privlages gets the extra barsParadiceCity9 wrote:I disagree Strife, I agree with soundout9 I think it's a great idea and could make it muchhhhh easier for the tournament directors.Strife wrote:I think that might be a little confusing, but helpful. Not pointless, it was a huge mistakesoundout9 wrote:amazzony wrote:It's tournament ORGANISERhey pointless spam again!
But ya thats what it should be called
And I needed to think about the idea a bit. And there was no form :p
But I think that it would be a bit too messy and wouldn't be used that much (or maybe I'm the only one who wouldn't use it

But I think that it would be a bit too messy and wouldn't be used that much (or maybe I'm the only one who wouldn't use it). For example, when I'm runnning several tournaments then I still use Game Finder to find only games for one specific tourney.
well it could be organized again after that
ex:
Ongoing tourney games
Tournament A games
1111111
1111112
1111113
1111114
ect
Tournament B games
1122221
1122222
1122223
1122224
ect
with as many tournaments as you have.
not high priority, as we can run effectivly without it, this would just be an AWSOME update, and luxury. I kind of wonder why it wasn't already thought of and put into play along time ago

What about for my 600+ game tournaments? How would it work then? Or the fact that I run up to 9 at a time? I like the idea, but it really would only be practical for those running just one tournament.
Also, on another note: How nice to see my indoctrination about Organizers vs. Directors is taking affect.

And optimus no one ever said you HAD to use it. There are lots of players that only do one tourny at a time. This would also help the newer organizers (something we have been talking about
Think of the bigger picture.

Tournament 1:
All tournament 1 games
Tournament 2:
All tournament 2 games
Tournament 3:
all tournament 3 games
ect, up to as many tournaments as you want!
I don't see how you WOULDN'T like this
And everyone check out my NEWEST tournament "Around the world"

Re: Tournament organizers (are you all happy now?)
bring this thread back! the idea is under estimated!. The big picture, as has been said. I made this stupid tournament that I'm going to shorten as much as possible, and it would be much easier to run if I would have that littl blue number next to "Tournament games finished[1]" to tell when I need to start the next game. maybe it could even be set up so that the games stay on your page until you delete them.
Re: Tournament organizers (are you all happy now?)
If you download chipv's script "Conquer Club Turn Watch" you can have all the tournament games show up as a list on the left side of your screen either below your "Personal Menu" or your "BOB Menu".Mr_Adams wrote:bring this thread back! the idea is under estimated!. Re: Tournament organizer's tabs
Adding tabs to the "My Games" page isn't going to help as much as you think, for the following reasons:
1. There are some tournament organizers with 12-15 active tournaments, which means that each tabs would have hundreds of games in it, thereby making the system useless anyways.
2. The Game Finder already allows you to narrow things down by game label, so if you are paying attention when you make your games and do it properly it is not hard to find them. Adding the tabs would simply be redundant to this system.
3. If there were to be tabs for "Tournament Games Awaiting Players", "Tournament Games Active", and "Tournament Games Recently Finished", I would personally have hundreds if not thousands of games showing in those tabs. That isn't helpful by any stretch of the word.
However, there is work being done on a new system to aid the tournament organizers in tracking their games, filling their games, and recording results.
