I dunno about the 0 points for Co-Hosting a tournament.I don't know that you should get a point for every tourney you co-host, but it shows you are active. If you were involved in a tournament - you deserve credit. I mean, all you have to do is make a thread and BOOM you get +1 for recruiting.

Also, what about tourneys rescued? Treat them like co-hosting?

Here is cumulative points system that I suggest - it is still pretty crude:

Completed Tournament, + 3
  • - 1 v 1 more than 16 players, +1
    - 1 v 1 more than 64 players, +1
    - 1 v 1 more than 256 players, +1
    - Teams more than 16 teams, +1
    - Teams more than 32 teams, +1
    - Teams more than 64 teams, +1
    - Singles more than 48 players, +1
    - Singles more than 96 players, +1
    - Singles more than 256 players, +1
    - League more than 16 games per player/team, +1
    - League more than 32 games per player/team, +1
    - League more than 64 games per player/team, +1
    - Rescued after 50% completion, +1
    - Rescued before 50% completion, +2
    - Co Host of tournament, +1/2
    - Co Host of tournament worth 6 or more points, +1
Ongoing Tournament, +1
  • - 50% complete, +1
    - Co Host of tournament, +1/2
    - Rescued, +1/2
New Tournament - Recruiting, +0
  • - 40% full, +1/2
    - 80% full, +1/2
Abandoned Tournament, 0
  • - Canceled due to lack of interest, -1/2
    - Canceled due to failure to restructure with decent interest, -1
    - Abandoned more than 33% complete, -1
    - Abandoned more than 66% complete -2
    - Found someone to rescue/transfer tournament, nullifies 1/2 of abandonment penalty

Based on either system I would have 5 points.

Tournaments:

Terminate the Madness [Recruiting, 68.8% full] = 1/2
Age of Realms: Age of Might [Recruiting, 63.0% full] = 1/2

I think i might add half a point for co-hosting. Th rest of the stuff is just Too complicated. I wanted a simple code such as the one for points in CC. Thanks for the idea's. I might end up changing the code a little more than just the co-hosting in the future but for right now it remains the same.

I only have one ongoing so far...

2007 NCAA College Basketball Season

but I have ideas for future tourneys...just waiting for this large hoops season to get closer to a finish. Having fun with my first shot at organizing one...guess that earns me 2 points for this thread. Woohoo!!!

Ongoing - CC's Historical Battles
Recruiting - Battle of the Bands, The Need For Speed One Day Challenge
Abandoned - The Ashes (too many players dropped out, also my first ever tourney and the scoring system was stupidly complex. Hence bulk extra work for me that wasn't paying off with players joining games)

Also Abandoned (but this shouldn't count for points) was the Need for Speed tournament, based on speed games, but I had to abandon this one as speed games, once created, only stick around for 15 minutes unless filled. I do plan to host a one off event organised through live chat of the Need for Speed Day Challenge, tho I will be doing this in a few weeks (and have just started recruiting for it). So this tourney was abandoned, but due to the site's programming, not my dedication so I don't think it should count against me.[/url]
