Is another premiuim player payment option possible?
Is another premiuim player payment option possible?
I posted this question in general forum already and figured I'd try it here.
I am not a paypal user, and don't really want to be. I just have never had good luck using paypal, and just am not a fan of it. I would be more then willing to send a postal money order for a premium membership and could possibly buy CC stuff from the store if this opton was available. I have sold on Ebay for many years, and I mean many, and my payment options where only postal M.O. or cash if you dared without a problem.
This seems to be a Canadian site, so I can't see accepting Canadian postal M.O.'s as being a problem from Canadian players. If you are willing to accept only postal M.O.'s from the US players which I would suggest, then all you have to do is make sure they send an "international" M.O. which is the "pink" one.
Like I said this was my only payment options on Ebay and I never had a problem.
I hope you would consider this option, and if you have any questions about it I would be more willing to help you out in IM.
Thanks.

Why are people so afraid of using PayPal to send money?
The only stories of people getting burned that I have read were from those receiving money through PayPal & the sender did a charge-back. Even so I have had a PayPal account for over seven years without a single problem.
You could always sign up, pay, then cancel the PayPal account if paranoid.

It's not a problem of getting burned, just some of us old timers are old fashion. I have so many pin numbers, log in names along with passwords which they say you shouldn't use the same of. I'm sorry my personal hard drive is getting a little full, meaning my brain. One can only store so many pins, log in names and passwords. Now comes the topic of paying for stuff, sure I've accepted standing in line for hours while people pay with their plastic, mean while I have a five dollar bill to pay for my one item which costs 3 dollars. Seriously think how long it takes to swipe a card, puch in the pin, decide which account to use, and if there is a blip do it over again? I'm not arguing with technology, but some of us feel more comfortable with paying for something whith out going threw a third party.Backglass wrote:Why are people so afraid of using PayPal to send money?

Maybe I just find it easier to walk ten minutes to my post office and buy a money order and stamp, paying cash of course, put it an envelope and sending it off. Money is money

Strangely enough, under Help:

You can also buy a prepaid Visa card at a local store and use that if you're worried about security.

Damn wicked that silly help button, don't you know us guys don't use maps or clicky the help button
Thanks for showing it, seriously I never clicked on it before thinking it would just cover all the topics about CC I already read in the other sections.
As for the security issue, that's not my issue at all, it's just my dislike for using Paypal, that's all.

To join - as Lack said - you don't actually have to make a paypal account... The payment is a one off and unless you register at the same time then you don't need to remember anything...cdnfireman wrote:Strangely enough, under Help:
