how is what he just said being homophobic, he's stating what he thinks on homosexuality, i actually agree with him, doesn't mean i wouldn't be friends with anyone, thinking that them being gay made me better than them or anything, i thought this point was already made, disagreeing with someone's choice does not mean you hate them, or you are afraid of them, you just disagree with them.Iliad wrote:What other religions? Says you. Funny how Christianity along with most other religions condemn it as "morally wrong".

i read in the newspaper about some puritans or something liek that.. that were protesting homesexuality by saying that the war in irak was gods punishment for the toleration of buttsex among males. their slogan was "god hates gaggs" 'we deserve dead soldiers"
i personaly believe that people can do with their butt holes watever they want... people should just shut up and let god send them to hell ots their problem
i personaly believe that people can do with their butt holes watever they want... people should just shut up and let god send them to hell ots their problem
I agree with the butt-hole thing...
I could care less about any body's sexual preferences, It's non of my business who they are doing or having a relationship with. I think if God has a issue with something you are doing, he will deal with it... It sure as hell is not my job.
Jesus didn't come and smite or tear down gay people, He did however get pissed at the greedy bastards who were claiming to be godly people to make money.
In fact a woman was brought to him and she was having pre-marital sex, and he said to her, go and sin no more. So, if you feel like God has a issue with you with anything, then by all means, follow through and sin no more. But that is between you and god, not the government or any body else.
Who has a right to judge anybody? And the Christians that are out to stop civil unions with gay people just making a loving god look bad.
Jesus took the world as it was not as he would have it, and the problem with religious people is they try to make the world the way they want it. People have free choice.
In the same token it is ok, to say you don't agree with homosexuality, and it is ok to show where in the bible it points out not to behave a certain way. Everybody on earth has at least one issue. Nobody is perfect.....
So the question of is it ok to be gay? well it is all about perspective.
So i say I don't know if God does not like homosexuality, and I really don't care to know, because It's not a issue for me. That is someone else's thing to worry about. If I need to know, I will study and find out.
IF I believe that god says it's wrong according to the bible, then yes it's wrong.
I had a friend who was gay, and when she brought over her girlfriend to my house and they kissed in front of my child, I felt uncomfortable. I then had to explain to my child that they love each other and are in a relationship just like mommy and daddy. My child wasn't even old enough to know what sex is... It isn't taught in Sunday school not to be gay.
Another couple I knew, they didn't ever do things in front of people, and nobody even knew, and it wasn't a issue for the ones that did. It just never was a issue. I only knew they were gay because someone told me they were. We never discussed their personal life, just like I don't discuss mine.
I can tell you I don't like those bitches that try to turn somebody that has low self esteem or some problems and are vulnerable and make them a trophy like YEAAA I turned another one gay!
here is a interesting site, that talks about religion and homosexuality.

What does that have to do with anything? How would not having a "father figure" (or, alternatively, one that hated you) spontaneously turn a person homosexual?jay_a2j wrote: poor relationship with a father, another.
Jay, your theories make no sense. If child abuse were a major cause of homosexuality later in life (for whatever obscure reason

I was talking of fathers in the first paragraph, so, through sheer inertia and a lack of attention, the second paragraph concerned them too.

Very nice Beastly. I wish the entire christian population could think like you regarding homosexuality. You are right...it isnt anyones business and if the gods you believe in don't like it, that is THE homosexuals problem...not anyone else.Beastly wrote:So i say I don't know if God does not like homosexuality, and I really don't care to know, because It's not a issue for me. First, I would be uncomfortable if ANYONE homosexual or otherwise starting making out in front of my young kids. Secondly, why explain anything? Did your child specifically ask why two women were kissing? If so I think your answer was perfect, I would say much the same thing. Just "They love each other very much" and be done with it. It's the people who make a huge screaming deal of it that scar the kids in my opinion.Beastly wrote:I had a friend who was gay, and when she brought over her girlfriend to my house and they kissed in front of my child, I felt uncomfortable. Exactly. Which is 99% of Homosexual couples. People like jay tend to think that homosexuals have different brains than you or me, similar to the way racists whites think about black people: "They just don't think like us", etc...except they do. People see a gay pride parade or "Queer as folk" on TV and paint an entire community with a broad brush. Just as all college kids are not "Girls gone wild", all gays are not Freddy Mercury.

Another leap of faith (they seem to be abounding) - i simply stated what i heard from the ones i talked to, and pointed out that i understood that i was dealing with a more neurotic population. Now you jump that to "all" gays - typical to misquote when you get frustrated?Guiscard wrote:As opposed to the guy who believes gay people must all have been 'introduced' at a young age because that was the case for the majority who came to counseling!b.k. barunt wrote:Your leaps of faith betray your bias. Nope, have whatever sexual orientation you like. I will not think any less or more of you. Actually, I don't think about that. I'm probably not in "the norm". I also have the utmost respect for women and never have talked about "scoring" with the guys in the locker room when I was in highschool. I have never looked at women as "sex objects". I can't say I've never looked at a woman with lustful thoughts. I admit, I am a sinner. Maybe I should start a "Get to know CCer jay_a2j" so people can ask me questions instead of making assumptions about me.Natali wrote:Since we are discussing sexual orientation, I will declare mine. I've read a little about this thread and I've come to the conclusion that I agree with some posts and disagree with others.
For instance, I don't like it when gay people (male or female) flaunt their homosexuality, like they have to prove something to the world. To me, this is no different then the stereotypical "jocks" that talk about hot chicks in locker rooms, and flaunt their obvious objectification of women during parties and when they hang around with friends.
On another note. I have a few female friends that are bi, and it doesn't bother me. I did have a gay guy-friend in my old town I moved from, but he made the mistake of seriously trying to put the moves on me. It's not that he shouldn't have tried, or that I freaked out. It was the fact he knew I had a girlfriend, as well as the fact he was only doing it to say he "converted another one!" He also only did it because I was "hot" as well as so he could brag that he converted and scored with a hottie. I found this out afterwards, and was kinda disappointed. Not only because he didn't do it because he liked me (har har har). He didn't make gay people seem very trustworthy or even any different than the straight guys who just wannna "f*ck 'em and chuck 'em."
So I came to the conclusion gay folks are just as good, and just as horrible as everyone else. And why wouldn't they be?

Gay men are exactly the same as straight men. They just want to f*ck somebody with a dick rather than a pussy... Gay guys want to "f*ck em and chuck em" just like straight guys do. They watch sports, drink beer, like cars, ect. ect. just like straight guys. One person once asked a gay friend of mine "Is the reason that gay people have so much sex is because they're gay?", to which he responded "No, it's because they're men."
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

Or "Are you an intolerant, hateful, closet homosexual and a righthwing bigot, who should be made to read a history book about the Third Reich?"
Or-an entirely different question "ARE YOU A MORON"
Just questions mind. To get to know the inner bigot.

Or, I could just ignore them. Those questions would be considered "leading the witness" in a trail. I should've mentioned that I would answer only sinsear, reasonable questions.
