Why hello there. Has anyone been dealt extremely wicked/bad troop placement at the beginning? Or had extremely horrible/good dice in an attack?

My bad dice record so far (and I haven't even played 20 games on CC yet) is losing 11 troops and killing 1. It was 14 vs 3, and the first throw was 1 for 1, then I proceeded to lose 10 more, in a row. I decided to stop afterwards, with 3 measly troops left.

My win dice record has been 8 in a row.

As for initial troop drops, check this game out (1043228) and see if something isn't up. I shit brix, quite literally, on a Mime's face when this game started. Red started with 5 out of 6 places in Africa. And, of course, the first person to take their turn after me placed all their troops beside mine. Madness? Or am I just being Persian?

It happens man. Sometimes people start out with a whole continent, I even heard of people starting off with two.

But sometiemes you will get lucky, dont complain about bad luck, it invites more. Make the most of a bad situation and fight your arse off.

I won a 4v8 and a 4v7 in two different rounds to break Asia in one game, didn't lose any troops. Still lost the game.
I lost a 9v1 to eliminate the second last player in an escalating game. Lost that game too. The worst part was, I was attacking from three different fronts, and once I made it down to 9v1, I stopped attacking there and worked on the other fronts. There are no sure things.

Just don't worry and don't leave us. Overall we are a nice bunch and the games are great even with occasional "bad" luck. It's all random, it's all fun and in the end - if you have bad luck then suck it up and try to remember the times where YOU had good drop and nice dice. It does happen as much as bad things, people are just negative to the bone and don't remember the good stuff as well as bad one

I've never seen somebody blasting to these forums and saying that they looove the dice. Everybody comes and complains how they hate it. Blah.

Dice is your friend. Always. You just need to learn to use it

I like it when you get really bad dice during a crucial play...something like 19 vs 2...and you lose 17 friggin guys to his 1! And then to make matters worse, you scream at the top of your lungs, "MUTHER FUKKER!!!!" and your mom is visiting for the weekend! She always looks at you funny when you say those things, go figure!

Anyways, I know that there are good and bad times, and of course I won't leave.

I was just interested in hearing some of the extremes of chance that some people have seen.

And as for people saying that the horrible odds are never rivaled in real life, I have an interesting story. We were playing a five player game, and another guy just kamikazed all his troops into another, trying to kill him. I killed the character he was goiung after, then I went after the kamikaze player. He had a long line of territories each with 1 unit on them. The first place I attacked I lost 11 people. He kept beating my rolls. I rolled alot of sixes, but he wpuld always match it. Even when he rolled low, I did too. It was eerie. After the first place, I lost at least 2 to 4 units as I progressed. In conclusion, I lost 27 men to his 7 territories. It wasn't even worth eliminating him for his cards.

I still won though.

Haha great one Dagip. Yeah you learn to test the dice time to time. As stated previously I will often try and win 4 v 8 or 6 v 12 die wars sometimes because it goes both ways. I lose plenty sometimes too, 17 v 4 and such. It's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.
