Maybe if he added A list of the members of the group called "members" so they can have a petition..
Has the Dice Logarithm been changed recently?
It's one thing to have a bad roll or a bad game. But lately - in the last month or so - , I've seen and experienced a major influx of mathematically improbably dice rolls and have wondered if the dice logarithm had been altered. When I first signed on a few months ago, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. But recently, I've seen a significant increase in the number of chat posts of people angry about improbably dice rolls. I, too, have experienced this as well. It's one thing to have it happen on occasion. It's another to have it happen regularly.
Has anyone else noticed or felt like this?

DICE
Your random dice do not seem very random at all the last 14 games I have played the majority if the dice rolls come out in the favor of the opponent. I wonder if their higher rank or score has anythign to do with this? I always seem to get worse dice when playing a higher ranked opponent. This is one reason why I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE A PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP! It seems unlikely that you could lose 10 straight games on bad dice alone. Mybe you should look into getting a new program? Anyhow this is me ventiing frustration over losing 200 + points and ranking because of what you call randomn dice!

Re: DICE
I agree with this statement. It would likely also require bad strategy.wkoester wrote:It seems unlikely that you could lose 10 straight games on bad dice alone.

I have a theory, and maybe it's accurate and maybe no one gives a shit, but I'm gonna throw it out there.
First of all, I agree that the dice are random, however, it is obvious that the dice do favor the defender, probably at a rate of 2 to 1 over the attacker.
Now, with the dice being random, what I think is happening is that the program sees 3 dice being used by the attacker and 2 by the defender, so it is trying to make it even, which is the whole point of random.
To further explain, let's say that the random generator has both the attacking dice at a total of 10, and also the defending dice at 10.
The attacker dice will have, let's say, a 3, a 4, and a 3.
The defending dice will have a 4 and a 6.
I can't prove it, but that is a theory I have.

I thought it worked by having every possible combination mapped out, so that would be 6^5 or ~46,000 possibilities. Makes it less random but more balanced by reducing large amounts of 6+6+6 v 6+6's.spiesr wrote:It works by assigning each die a number from 1 to 6 at random. It does not try to make it equal, that would not be random...
