Can you do better? We hope so, because we're awarding 12 months of Premium Membership for each banner that makes the final cut. (i.e. ones that win and, yes, you can win more than one category.)
Rules: Each banner submitted (if it doesn't suck) will be tested out for several days on our google ad campaign and we'll measure the click-through rate. The best performing banner in each category will win the contest. Acceptable formats are .gif, .jpg, .png, .swf and filesize must be under 50kb.
Logo: It isn't required that you include the CC logo (or any specific tag line) but if you want to you may use this hi-res file or build it from scratch (use Stencil BT font for letters and character "µ" in Wingdings font and add a thin black dropshadow. Colours aren't set in stone, so have some fun).
Submitting: All submissions should be submitted in this forum with a new thread for each person (not entry). Place your final versions in your first post. Let people know if you are still working on it and want feedback or not. You may post as many entries as you wish for each category. Make sure we know what category it is for and if it is finished
Partnering: If you have great ideas, but no design skills or are the best photoshopper this side of Kamchatka but no clue what would make a good tag line, partner up hereand you can split any winnings 50/50.
Categories: There are 8 categories (that means 8 years of Premium Membership up for grabs), based on size and whether or not the banner refers to trademarks of "other" global domination games. To avoid trouble we don't want to host banners that refer to such trademarks here on http://www.conquerclub.com but they are fine to use on other websites as long as people don't think they are going to a website run by a certain large company who produces said "other" game...if you know what we mean <wink wink, nudge nudge>
