Forgive me if this has already been hashed out, but the dog house will start as neutral, yes? Otherwise it seems cheeky to let someone start with an extra +2 and the equivalent of a KotM helipad.

I dig the map thus far, tho. Not a fan of the song (in fact I hate that song with every fiber of my being), but the map is top-notch.

EDIT: actually, upon further reflection, the doghouse seems ridiculously high-powered. A +2 for only one country, with 'teleporting' attacks to boot? Yikes.

looking good cairns.

army circle on side path needs centering to the right.

isnt it suppose to be "bud's room" not "bud's romp"? or is taht more aussie slang?

dog house bonus is too high (many have pointed that out and i agree), u should make it neutral or reduce it to +1 and turn it into bombard rather than attack. dogs love to bite and run u kno

i can understand the apostrophe being after teh "s" on Siss, but the apostrophe should be before the "s" in bud, mum, dad, and mum & dad.

one final thing, the patio and rear path doesnt connect right? if so, can u make it more clear? if not, then u also need to make it more clear. cause right now, its hard to tell if they connect or not.

keep up the good work cairns.

Rename "Front Path 2" as "Driveway". I also suggest renaming one of the rear ones. Basically, this is to eliminate the need for numbered territories.

Jako, yes it is supposed to Bud's room, if you want to be conservative.
Aussie slang, no i don'tt think so. More likely it is an Americanism that i picked up from the TV.

From the onlinedictionary:
1. To play rudely and boisterously; to leap and frisk about
in play.
[1913 Webster]

Given that boys are apt to be like the above definition, i thought it was an excellent noun to use to describe that room, rather than boring old bedroom or room.

Sorry, but Bud's area looks like water now

from a practical house point of view. How come the Garden Shed doesn't connect to a path? Maybe it's just a weird thing with the house that you have to go via the BBQ area to get to it, but it seems like that's very unpractical. I have to carry all my garden tools whilst navigating around BBQ equipment?

from a gameplay point of view, I think everything is good as you have it.

Let's forget about some practicalities for the map edbeard. I would have like to have the Hills Hoist (aussie) clothes line in there, and some play equipment for the kids in the back yard, but too cramped.
For now though, yes you will have to carry all your garden equipment through the BBQ area. Dad's areas are usually a bit of a mess anyways.

no....i think the paths are enough. Afterall, the initial idea of this map was for me to make a small numbered tert map. And this is as far as it goes. no more terts.

Spellings: It should be "clog" not "clogg". "Dunee" isn't a dictionary word. I think someone said it was Aussie slang, but can't something else be used?

Also, I think the title should be "CC Cottage" or something like that. The title just doesn't seem to fit with the map.

As i said, if you want to be all conservative, then we can use toilet. But i'm siticking with Dunee, or should i use the correct spelling "Dunny"
listed here

But the idea fits, and the imagination runs wild with that for me.
Once again, if you want to be conservative....
I'm sticking with Madness from an ideas perspective and also a marketing tool.

Ok, your call on both of them (obviously "clog" needs fixed). I prefer slightly conservative, but you're the one who's made successful maps (and I'll still play on this one anyways).

Honestly, I don't think any slang should be used. I have no idea what "dunnee" means and I have no idea how that applies to the map. Either choose a different word or clarify the legend.

Excellent map so far.

1) In the legend, just make it Dog 1 - that way you can align it. You've already indicated that the Dog is the Dog House. Besides you're cutting short most of the other area names.

2) I hate to say it, but your "Garden" looks like a bunch of colored Underoos [or folded socks or maybe butterflies?]. If it's actually a garden it would be one long row of soil with some sort of edging. and plants inside and/or spaces for seeds

3) Make territory "Dunee" agree with legend definition "Dunny," doesn't matter which way

V10 Update

Postby cairnswk on Thu Oct 11, 2007 5:57 pm

Version 10 Update

1. Word Crapper Added

2. Dog House changed to Dog in legend

On the garden, not everyone has long beds for gardens. This garden is a simple four rounded cirles with an image of roses in them to represent a garden. I don't think this is really an issue since there are no "plays" on this section.

On the Dog name, leave it generic as dog that way we don't get into a battle over the dog's name. Everyone has preferences and i don't think that is what is needed.

well since cena wants his name so badly on this map and he is the one opting for a name for the dog, just call the dog cena

everyone is happy. but mostly me
