so, I'm kinda going through some kind of weird emotional weirdness right now (for lack of better wording...)...I move to college in 2 weeks...and that's a crazy thought to me...
Like I've been saying goodbye to my friends for the last few weeks and it's getting really depressing...and now I have to start hardcore packing and saying goodbye to my family and such. I just don't quite know how I'm going to do this.

I know how ya feel, i did the same thing 2 years ago when i went down to school in arizona. It really sucks leaving all your friends and your family, but i promise you that college will be so much fun for you.areyouincahoots wrote:so, I'm kinda going through some kind of weird emotional weirdness right now (for lack of better wording...)...I move to college in 2 weeks...and that's a crazy thought to me...

Well, I am excited, for sure...There's just a lot of stress and sadness to go through before I get there...but thanks for the encouragement!!TitusFinn wrote:Stand up and get excited about college Hoots!
Thanks. I hope you're right!AK_iceman wrote:I know how ya feel, i did the same thing 2 years ago when i went down to school in arizona. It really sucks leaving all your friends and your family, but i promise you that college will be so much fun for you.
I guess I understand what you mean about not having real responsibilities except that your future is on the line...and since I'm going on a full scholarship, keeping that scholarship will be my biggest responsibility...wicked wrote:college is the best time of your life ... start looking forward to it! Hello, a once in a lifetime opportunity to play around for 4+ years and not have any real responsibilities. Sheesh, what's not to love?
I wish I knew...This is my other big responsibility in the next 4 years...deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life and then doing whatever I need to do to make that happen...I'm sure it'll be loads of fun in the process...I just happen to have a rather serious outlook to do with this because I realize it's importance...TitusFinn wrote:What do you want to do when you grow up Hoots?
Thanks, everyone, for your encouragement and support! Y'all are great!

i would say that its only natural, u r leaving ur hometown & lifelong friends & starting a whole new life without them & prolly never seeing them ever again, but my sis is trippin 2 get off 2 college. But my advice is 2 always keep ur friends close 2 ur heart & think of the good times u had with them instead of wen u saw them last
P.S. wut college r u going 2?

Well, I've done it before (in 6th grade I packed up and moved from here to Louisiana and then in 11th grade I packed up and moved back...) so I know I can deal, but that doesn't make it any easier.
I'll be attending the University of Central Arkansas (UCA)...
