I've heard that Alaskans really don't feel like part of the U.S., due to the distance it takes to get to the continental part of it.

Maybe Alaska will try to be like Quebec, and break away?

This is also true, I feel that we are left out by most of the U.S. I am not too into politics yet, but these shipping charges are killing me. Most of the good stuff on Ebay they dont even ship out of the lower 48.

Also heard the the suicide rate is high up in alaska, either do the remoteness, weather, or lack of women as someone mentioned earlier.

I dont know about Alaska, but in australia we have a state called Tasmania, its like an island down the bottom where its freezing cold. Some stereotypical veiws of it are that the parents of a child are usually brothers and sisters themselves, they have 6 toes, its freezing cold, any normal person who goes there once never comes back and that that it is only good for chopping trees down.

Is halibut the Eskimo word for big ugly women? That halibut is pretty big. The fish is big too.

We have some big theatres in Anchorage that get movies the day they come out, but the one out here in Wasilla you have to wait a couple weeks to see it. So basically, I have to drive an hour just to see a movie in a decent theatre.

Ummm... thats pretty clear already. But if you come to alaska do not eat at McDonalds because the food tastes like shit. It tastes better in the lower 48 than it does up here.
