just slow down when you take your turns and be careful, and greasemonkey has a pop up asking if you are sure if you want to end forts and end attacks

I attack and lose 2 armies....Blast! Undo! Re-attack

Get BOB so you have the confirmation pop ups, and that's all you'll need.

do over button *rejection!*

Postby richardgarr on Thu Aug 30, 2007 6:23 pm

Every once and awhile I find that my mouse slips or and I accidentally deploy on the wrong country or hit end attack, this can be extremely frustrating and at times causes an unnecessary loss of game or a waste of a turn.

In some of the maps the countries are hard to read and create mis deployment situations also the country list sometimes does not respond properly and i end up having armies go too places that I never intended.

I would be very interested in a button that would allow me to take back an accidental deployment or allow me to continue an attack when I accidentally hit end attack while in the midst of a game finishing move .

I propose that the button be only for deployment and attack do overs and not for redoing forts ..

DO OVER button PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:? :? :? :D :D 8)

when I mean attack do over , I mean a button or pop up that might say something like "are you sure you want to end attacks "

I am sure that I am not the only person to have come across an accidental game throwing click or 2.

get a script, I recommend BOB. It's saved my arse in at least half a dozen games.

EDIT: If you want it site supported, I'm afraid yer probably gonna get rejected - I think andy said CC was popup free. There are proposals to move the buttons around a bit, though.

The problem with this is that it could easily be abused in Freestyle games.

I'd do it like this: deploy, wait for my opponent to deploy in response to where I went, then change and attack the weaker points.

i accidently hit end attack and a player who ha d no right to win now takes the advantage of me being spread out and wins the game, that is not fair
a simple option to continue attack button would solve this issue....

I was not looking for an option of taking back an attack that is failing, I simply wanted something that would allow you to make sure that ending your attack was really what you wanted to do....how hard is that

I play on other sites and a pop up asks you " are you sure you want to end attack"

This option is not unreasonable and actually would save a lot of grief

Sometimes when I am caught up in the game and clicking like a mad man I make mistakes, as I am sure others do as well....

I feel that this simple button or question pop up would not be hard to employ .

wouldn't it be easier to just take your time and plan your moves before you make them. If you're having problems with that then I would suggest you play less games so you have more time to strategize. Good luck!

What's BOB and greasemonkey? I was just about to suggest an undo button for accidental deployments and then I saw this post.

I can see why the feature would be rejected for attacks since it would be abused, but accidental deployments and fortifications are very frustrating.

Go to the General Discussion, then Plugins and Addons. You will find it there.

Ctrl-Z option needed for accidental mis-deploys

Postby Geoff_with_a_G on Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:31 am

twice tonight i accidentally brushed the mousepad and mis-deployed in an unfavourable position...any chance of an 'undo last turn button'? obviously not for die rolls

I know this has been asked for before. Check the to-do list to see the status of the idea. I'm 100% in favor of the option, but lack might not agree.

This is in Lack's To-Do list with a status of REJECTED (Remember to read the To Do list before making suggestions).

Here is a link to why it was rejected

A brief explanation is that it would be overly abused in Free Style games.

it shouldn't be a big deal to only allow the option for sequential games

'Undo' end attacks?

Postby Trouserpants on Thu Oct 04, 2007 7:26 pm

I'd like the ability to go back to the attacks menu if you were to accidently click the end attacks button prematurely (only if you hadn't made any fortifications of course). I've made this mistake a few times and it's wrecked me, it'd be nice to have the ability to fix it
cheers

i wouldnt mind this but you would have to make it so that once you make ONE fortification, you cant go back and not allow it all for freestyle

there is a script you can add that will let you confirm end attacks if you want...though youre better off without that, but the script BOB is a must
