Ok, just what games were you playing? I compared Resistance on PS3, to Gears of War on 360, and Resistance ran much, much faster. Especially online.

well i only had access to what EB downloaded

off the top of my head

Motor Storm
Armored Core 4
Virtual Fighter (5 or 4 i forgot where they left off)
and Genji (which was fucking awesome lol)

Most of em took at least 1-2 minutes to load up the actual demo

for what they had on a 360
Virtual Tennis
Guitar Hero 2
Some gardening game...i have no idea

Virtual Tennis took the same amount of time to load maybe even more
the other two i simply clicked and 30 seconds later its loaded up.


Well ive never played Resistance Fall of Man, although granted i want to, i just dont own a PS3
Played and beaten GoW, awesome game, ran pretty smooth, no complaints.

The games you listed are pretty rubbish, which is normal for a launch line-up. The real difference will come next year, when developers actually spread their wings.

Load Times: 360 wins by less than a minute, but feels like minutes

Game Speed: PS3 smokes 360 in every single aspect.


If you don't believe me then ask your local EB games/game stop to put in Fight Night round 3 on both consoles. After playing that game on both consoles you wont mind the wait. Every game I have compared the PS3 with the 360 on it ends up with 360 usually loading a little bit faster and the PS3 playing the games faster. It almost feels like the 360 games are in slow motion. I said to use Fight Night because that's the game I noticed a huge difference in while actually playing the game.

Considering there isn't even a game out yet that can push the PS3 to it's limits or anything even close for that matter I would say the PS3 is a much better buy. The 360 is maxed out at it's limits with a lot of the newer games coming out.

If you're looking for a good console for cheap then definitely go with the 360. If you're not really into games and only play once in a while then the PS3 is overkill.

Ok, we can all bitch and fight about the good games that we could care less about beating in a few years. If we take a minute and think about what amazing... well, lets go with fps... what amazing fps has rocked our world that has come out between 2000-2005, Halo and Halo 2 to start out. they are probably the first games that will come to mind. Doom 3 is another. Anyone remember any else? I don't think there was anything that stuck out in those 5 years.
