swearing/ rude behavior should be punished
i believe that if someone is swearing and being rude to you, it can be in the counquerclubs admins best interests to seeing if the player is being rude in a harsh way that if this happens a ban of their account happens for maybe one hour to start, then if it is repeated, the ban goes for maybe 12 hours, and then a day and so on
i am 15 years old and i suppose i dont mind the swearing. it just doesnt make this a happy place at times when someone is threatening to give neg. feedback, calling you names and so on

Yeah. As people say, use the ignore list. A wonderful thing.dakotajammin wrote:i believe that if someone is swearing and being rude to you, it can be in the counquerclubs admins best interests to seeing if the player is being rude in a harsh way that if this happens a ban of their account happens for maybe one hour to start, then if it is repeated, the ban goes for maybe 12 hours, and then a day and so on

Also, rest assure that encountering some textual abuse in here will better prepare you for venturing out into the public sphere as an adult. And you may even pick up a word or two that you didn't know before.
Happy place? The world is a horrible, decadent and violent place. CC is just a reflection of this sorry state of affairs. You can be happy when dead.
And, if people crosses too many lines, being abusive all over the forums and in various games, they can be banned. This seems to work pretty good, there are not that many totally obnoxious people roaming around. And we all loose our heads from now and then. If the mods would have to deal with isolated instances of cursing, well, we would need 200 new mods. And we don't want that. Beware of Big Brothers, once they arrive, it usually never ends pretty. Better dead than unfree.

Although, I'd probably put this in the flame wars if I were you, they'd handle it better, and quicker there

How many people do you have on your ignore list, Andy?AndyDufresne wrote:Just so you know, I believe the phpBB forum upgrade will include an ignore list that hides posts and blocks PM's from people you put on it. So if you come across people you'd rather not hear from again, you can do so.

By saying "Now, Shut the f*ck up!", wouldn't that be taking a step to stop someone from speaking? I'm so confused! Also, what would that make you if not a fascist, just an asshole?Metaphore wrote:Stopping someone from saying something that you do not want to hear is the heart of fascism.
