And would you want them to have more than 30 legs? How about 200?

update, after reading up on these centipedes more, its seems that technically, they help the house a lot cuz they do not damage to walls or furniture, but they eat other bugs, mainly spiders. Its true that I haven't seen spiders much in the house, actually I've seen a lot more spiders outside the house this summer, but it doesn't matter, I would rather eat a spider than let a house centipede crawl up my arm, they gotta go...

Because when they were named no-one actually bothered counting how many legs the really had, they just said "holy shit that's a lot of legs".static_ice wrote:hell no but if they only have 30 legs then why do they call them a name that means having 100 legs?Skittles! wrote:Shh, they don't know that.

I doubt a millpede has a thousand legs as well.
they probably come in through the air vents ...
since you should not shut them off, you could remove them, mount mosquito net on the inside, and put them back ...
some very long time ago, in lebanon, a guy got bit in his upper arm by 'something' with a lot of legs, and by the time i arrived 30 min later it looked as if he had grown a 2nd elbow ....
but don't worry, even though bites of them 'household' insects can be nasty, they're hardly ever 'dangerous' ...
