We have that show in Norway top, and I was just about to say that this feels a bit like that. And I have said to all my friends that this show is a form of mafia/werewolf for sure.Devante wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2026 11:53 am LC the traitors tv show is that originally a mafia game or just a show concept? Is that just based on the set-up so far? I'll have to look into this more I thought it was just a regular mafia set-up with Sonic craziness thrown in but if there's an established game concept already that would help us weed out scum

It also seems that some soup plates got mixed up..
Vote Katyssis

A bit behind here, I see. I'll do this chronologically.
Annie making a point about kong does my head in. Was Kong in the game? I just thought he was replaced because he didn't have the time
And then hjelp dives into a convo on mechanics with Loose. f*ck me...I told you I was too dumb for this game.
Dev seems to ignore what everyone has put forward so far. That's interesting. Charle similar.
Fwiw, I saw Annie's vote (based on soup and allergy) as a joke vote.
---
I have my eyes on homer mostly, but I'm also watching Dev and Charle (and I always get iffy when people spend loads of time discussing mechanics, but I'm less inclined to write that off as bad faith given that I'm struggling to understand the mechanics). Does anyone else want to give reads during the game or just me?
That's just like mafia, then. If I'm lynched as town/scum in mafia and my faction wins, I still win. Or did you phrase it deliberately convoluted for me to misunderstand what you're saying?Loose Canon wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2026 1:58 am But where it differs is you win if you are dead/lynched if the faction you are eliminated as goes on and wins
What I'm noting here is a LOT of questions and absolutely no stance. Smells like picking everyone else's brains before offering anything in an attempt to align own statements with those of others. Don't like it. Loose answers Kong or me. Doesn't care that homer never said anything himself. Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
i read this as kong was circle. but it would ruin the game if we lose a circle member before we even get started by his own choosing. so sonic defaulted kong back to house and either A) chose a new patron or B) had the patron choose a new secretary.hjelp wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2026 11:33 amI read it as -"... Kong, by default, died as House." and House is not the Circle as far as I understand => Kong was House.SoN!c wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 3:59 am
As the game needs 2 Circle members at the start and KongMing got souped... Kong, by default, died as House.
Some of you have received new cards to reshuffle the Kong Soup situation.
Now the members coming in, therefore reshuffle?
This means that Circle now has three members and Kong was chosen as secretary.
then the Circle now are three members and they can't invite anymore and will kill tonight.
i don't think this new choosing was limited only to the two new guests, as that would also make things pretty simple. so some shuffling was done and we have a brand new circle from what we had before kong chose to leave.
the point of my question wasn't to discuss who i thought would be picked. not right away. we already had that discussion and those who wanted to answer gave their answers in The Thing. my opinion hasn't changed.. except that sonic is no longer an option. my point was... with this being a new game, it creates an opportunity for head games.Ragian wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2026 2:17 amWhat I'm noting here is a LOT of questions and absolutely no stance. let me give an example for what i mean. as i said in the thing, my choice would be annie. now.. would the patron pick annie as a good choice? or would the patron, knowing people think annie is a good choice, pick someone else? or would they think that people would expect the choice to be someone else and go back to annie? and now my head hurts.

Don't you dare try to win me over with a Friends reference! That's foul play! REF!!!
I haven't read The Thing because I wasn't playing and, despite what people in my community say, I don't have that much time on my hands. Would you not find it weird if someone asked a lot of questions for people to answer if that person didn't offer up a stance on their own?

The where it differs I said was in the TV show only the surviving players either win or lose - here if you are eliminated you still win or lose if your faction wins or loses.Ragian wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2026 2:17 am A bit behind here, I see. I'll do this chronologically.

On Homer I thought any discussion point is a good discussion point.
You are absolutely not too dumb for this game - you know it.
I took it that Annie made a read on Sonics posts that when I read what Annie said it made sense, but yes it did my head in too because in making sense it took us back to square one pre-mingling which doesn't make sense.
Dev isn't striking me as ignoring - it strikes me he's playing provocatively and seeing what the reactions are - and if he hasn't zoned in on anyone yet thats ok by me because his hello future wives was so provocatively unusual I'd really struggle if he was currently circle aligned.
Charle has toyed with looking at Dev
You have said by process of elimination Homer for you - but in a clever way.

Homer did say when I was suspicious of Bunny he didn't see anything suspicious in the timing of her posts - before moving the question on to another discussion point.
Seems to me (what I think your process of elimination post) missed was King - wouldn't he be a better candidate for suspicion than Homer by the logic you presented?

Why I never... *rises from her chair to stand face to face with Ragian*
Dear Sir! I do not jest in the least!
I implore you to look closely at the provided image. Two guests have their hands raised in a most inelegant fashion. It was the gracelessness that caught my eye. One man and one woman engaging in some sort of cross-table air high-five.
Now look closely in front of the woman with her hand raised. You will see not one soup, but two. Only Katyssis ordered two soups.
Heavens me, I can't be the only one put off by hand signals between two people when we are looking for two people!

Unvote KatyssisSoN!c wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2026 11:18 am
Amidst the debris of chaotic reasoning and some flamboyant display of utter nonsense, the guests all agreed that this Mulligatawny has a peculiar finish.
Some were already eyeing a second portion, known in French as "la repasse" (from the verb repasser, “to pass again,”).
But in strict high-society etiquette, soup is the one course where you do not accept a repasse. It is only meant to open the appetite..
The Patron, knowing all about this etiquette, watched closely who would act accordingly and who would not, already thinking of the next candidate to invite into the Circle.
The Patron would NEVER allow anyone in who:
– Cuts bread with a knife, or indeed cut bread at all. You wouldn’t want crumbs to “fly before the eyes of guests or, worse, onto the bare shoulders of ladies.”
I read again and it says the patron will not accept people who do not know high society etiquette. This would mean, in regards to Katyssis, she would be disqualified from being chosen by the patron for raising her hand for more soup.
I beg your sincerest pardon.

Back in my long tenure university I remember an art history lesson and we had to be very observant of what we were seeing.SoN!c wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 3:59 am The aperitif moment is over!
(The aperitif moment during a chic dinner forms the crucial introduction to the evening: it stimulates the appetite (aperire means 'to open' - mostly bottles) and immediately sets the tone for a luxurious, gastronomic experience. In fine dining etiquette, this is the ultimate moment to welcome guests, serve the first amuse-bouches, serving drinks, all to relax the atmosphere before heading to the table.)
And now The Dinner has started!
(The gates are close and the garden, including the hedges, checked twice!)
As the game needs 2 Circle members at the start and KongMing got souped... Kong, by default, died as House.
Some of you have received new cards to reshuffle the Kong Soup situation.
I agree with Annie that there is something suspicious about those two raising their hands, but also in this picture. Here we have Devante identified by the Small bald spot that was perhaps in part caused just a little bit maybe by a joint that had a little bit of it’s fire fall onto him, while, maybe it was in my hand but despite however, it happened. We have one of the guests identified. And if you’ll notice everyone is in different seats in this first picture. I’m not sure how much we can get out of this. But I feel like it is worth pointing out.
Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
That's very convoluted. Only you know what your pronoun referred to. It could be the TV thingie or the old game. That's what confused me. I read it as if you were saying that if scum in the old game, you had to survive, which could either mean a) that you don't get that game, b) you're being a liar, or c) that I was confused by it. I'm happy to hear that you didn't write it like that to confuse me deliberately. However, I will ask you to phrase things unequivocally. Pronouns are bad if misunderstood. And yes, you could definitely argue that I'm a thickie thickie dumb dumb for thinking that you were referring to the game rather than the TV series, but I can't know if what I read is deliberately misleading me or an accident.Loose Canon wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2026 4:22 am

I don't think you think I phrased it deliberately convoluted to confuse you.
Also, what have I, indirectly, said that I think is Homer? The discussion about whom I'd chose as a N0 target...or recruit? I have in no way said that. You're assuming that. I have very clearly said that I won't partake in that discussion before Homer brings his thoughts to the table first. But now, he's gone on to say that he doesn't want to discuss. As far as I understood him.
Loose, I feel like I'm decent at reading people. I'll give you that. However, I have already skipped several of hjelp's posts because it does my head in. Hence I feel that I'm too thick for this type of game (and I feel that I was bullied into playing by Charle's big, beautiful, pleading eyes), so don't you dare say that I know that I'm not too dumb when I feel that I am. Borderline gaslighting. Gas-Loosing.

Ok LC lolking at the pictures for clues might be a stretch, rn im sus of hjelp, I like the point made about dev and charle and while I know King said he would be busy, silence in this game makes people look sus. And while I dont think the assassins would be among the new people, bc that would be a lot for a new comer it would also be highly unsuspected which in itself makes it suspicious. ….
But lets be real people we are 5 pages in with no real voting record yet. We are going to have to do something.

Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
This is a SoN!c-hosted Mafia-style game! (House vs Circle factions), set as a formal dinner party at Blackpool Manor. It is a true Social deduction game and party where players use psychology, bluffing, and logic to uncover secret roles or hidden team allegiances.
So; Most of the players are vanilla, in true Mafia Wolves style like promised.
It is up to the players to use logic and deductive reasoning to try to deduce one another's roles, while other players can bluff to keep players from suspecting them.
You should all attempt to uncover each other's hidden role or team allegiance. Ask questions, be observant! Commonly, these games are played with teams, with one team being considered "good" and another being "bad"; the "bad" players might bluff you into thinking something they want you to think abouth them.
Because : they don't know that we know they know we don't know they know!
A big announcement is to follow shortly!

Bunny lead the way on the voting if you wish.
Personally i dont think voting patterns d1 will count for much because i dont think the secretary will know who the patron is right now.
Suspicions and questions and discussions can be raised without voting.

Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
The kitchen doors opened and a man in a slightly flour-dusted coat stepped out, carrying nothing .
He glanced around the table with a faintly amused expression.
“One of the waiters just informed me,” he said, voice carrying, “that when the Mulligatawny Ming soup was presented, at least one of you looked at me as if you genuinely believed I was in it. Floating. Seasoning myself. Can you imagine?”
Good heavens, old chaps!
utter silence and total suprise followed
“My lords and ladies… I trust the first course met with approval?”
He paused, letting the silence settle over the table.
Another pause. Longer this time.
Then a voice said: (was it the Patron? Nobody noticed because they were all baffled):
“Allow me to present the chef of Blackpool Manor. He has been charged with the preparation of the courses. You may expect them to be splendid. You may also expect them to arrive precisely when they are ready, and not a moment sooner.”
“Do try to pace yourselves. There are several courses yet to come, and I have been assured the evening is only just beginning.”
The Chef regarded the table with the measured calm of a man who had already decided the evening would proceed according to his standards.
“The entremets will follow in due course,” the host continued. “Music has been arranged. Conversation is encouraged. Accusations, while inevitable, are best delivered with a modicum of grace. The wine will continue to appear. The second course will not be long.”
He paused, letting the silence settle into something almost elegant.
“Do enjoy yourselves. The evening is far from finished.”
Our Chef is of the highest standards, and carries a certain reputation for mystery—one never quite knows whether he is preparing the next course or simply deciding who will feature in it. I present to you: Our Chef of the evening Kong Ming!
