Why can't I be someone's future wife? This game is riddled with traditional gender roles...yuk!

I haven't seen traitors. Just thought it was a knockoff of werewolves/mafia. Am I wrong there?

Yes ragian i would agree traitors is a knockoff of mafia/werewolves so as such it is a reasonable frame of reference for someone playing a mafia game for first time.
Added to that the option of recruiting and rerecruiting to take circle to and keep circle to 3, this mafia mechanic looks close to traitors mechanic

not sure that there was anything suspicious about timings of posts. didn't seem like deferment to me.

what do we think about the N0 recruit? we spent a lot of time in the antarctic trying to discover who would be the rational N0 infection, only for that to turn out to be unnecessary. now though, how would that discussion have impacted things here? did the circle get ideas for who would be a good candidate and why.. or did they choose to avoid the names we put forward most?

hmm.. how exactly does one discover that last allergy? *leans away slightly from katyssis... while absentmindedly slurping a spoonful of kong mulligatawny*

Seems like I was very drunk (like the rest of the guys here) this weekend, and slept through most of the first dish.

Still not sure at all whats going on here, or how this works, but I guess I will understand more later.

Or this is a Sonic hosted game, so he will probably drop some crazy hints or something.

Homer, for n0 recruit i probably would have gone kong or rag, kong most likely.

I think as ive said Hot Bunny just on name alone would have entered most players reckoning as a Secretary.

But as id probably have opted for kong in the end zuluwarrior and katyssiss have to enter reckoning now

N0 recruits could be one of the girls this time?

I cannot recall any game with Dev being scum, so maybe the clock turned this time and good old Dev recruited one of his honeys!

(The aperitif moment during a chic dinner forms the crucial introduction to the evening: it stimulates the appetite (aperire means 'to open' - mostly bottles) and immediately sets the tone for a luxurious, gastronomic experience. In fine dining etiquette, this is the ultimate moment to welcome guests, serve the first amuse-bouches, serving drinks, all to relax the atmosphere before heading to the table.)

And now The Dinner has started!

(The gates are close and the garden, including the hedges, checked twice!)

As the game needs 2 Circle members at the start and KongMing got souped... Kong, by default, died as House.

Some of you have received new cards to reshuffle the Kong Soup situation.
It is quite evident Kong was circle, only renouncing the insidious crew with his last breath.

I should think only the death of the patron would warrant a reshuffle.

We should consider if the current secretary was chosen by Kong before his *ahem* departure, and that selection was allowed to stand, or if the replacement patron had opportunity for a fresh recruitment.

The impact, of course, being whether the patron was choosing from a pool that included the two latecomers or inheriting a choice made before their arrival.

Kingm has earned a modicum of redemption by pointing out sonic has a penchant for clues. Though I would have been pleased to hear any speculation as to any clue that may have been dropped.

Loose, in all his audacity, should consider that the circumstances we entered the house under are not necessarily the same circumstances we currently find ourselves in. Of course, that shall remain the case until the evening reaches its conclusion.

Amidst the debris of chaotic reasoning and some flamboyant display of utter nonsense, the guests all agreed that this Mulligatawny has a peculiar finish.

Some were already eyeing a second portion, known in French as "la repasse" (from the verb repasser, “to pass again,”).

But in strict high-society etiquette, soup is the one course where you do not accept a repasse. It is only meant to open the appetite..

The Patron, knowing all about this etiquette, watched closely who would act accordingly and who would not, already thinking of the next candidate to invite into the Circle.

The Patron would NEVER allow anyone in who:

– Cuts bread with a knife, or indeed cut bread at all. You wouldn’t want crumbs to “fly before the eyes of guests or, worse, onto the bare shoulders of ladies.”

I read it as -"... Kong, by default, died as House." and House is not the Circle as far as I understand => Kong was House.
Now the members coming in, therefore reshuffle?
This means that Circle now has three members and Kong was chosen as secretary.
then the Circle now are three members and they can't invite anymore and will kill tonight.

and this knife suggests to use to kill with. Also the very first photo.

And kong wasn't The Heir since chosen secretary.

So kong is secretary and inherit the kill. Kongm is my primary suspect.
and Circle members are dead House members (inspired by The Thing game).

The question now is if House vote for kong D1 then the Circle will be reduced down to two members and won't be able to kill N1?

LC the traitors tv show is that originally a mafia game or just a show concept? Is that just based on the set-up so far? I'll have to look into this more I thought it was just a regular mafia set-up with Sonic craziness thrown in but if there's an established game concept already that would help us weed out scum

The Secretary can't invite. Patron alone can invite => if we vote D1 secretary kong then Circle can't kill N1 but Patron can send a new invitation N1 and by D2 Circle are three members again. But at D2 Hosue won't know who was chosen as the third member. So we can prevent a kill N1 if we are aligned. But from D2 we are in the dark. As long as Patron not voted out => invitations will continue. killing will contine (if three Circle members or more) and killed House members (by knife) are out of the game.
Also Patron win if parity 1=1 (excuse me for the mathematic notation).

Receiving a double portion of Mulligatawny soup.

It also seems that some soup plates got mixed up..
The woman with the double soup, despite a claimed allergy, is giving a hand signal to one of the men. Most alarming.

Vote Katyssis

I think traitors is a mafia game adapted for tv and adapted so there always has to be at least 1 traitor up to the last 1-2 episodes.
Its the recruitment back up to 3 trait of that and this game, that makes this game closer to traitors than the thing

The reason i brought up traitors tv at all though was for benefit of zulu and katy

I think i largely agree with hjelp except at parity with a lynch vote, and a dead heir and a recruit who doesnt know who patron or secretary is/was, game is still alive.

I can't see a rule regarding not posting. So kong maybe won't post anything - to keep us in the dark regarding being the secretary and so we think kong is out of the game. It will turn out later.

Zulu and katy said they wanted in in the signup thread in good time.

Sonic was preprepared in some way for there being 11 or 12 or 13 players. Twisting of the soup

Sonic offered to anyone who wanted to leave to say so.

Shortly after kong made his other engagement excuse and left.

I think we can assume kong was wanting out via pm to sonic prior to that happening.

I suspect it doesnt help house to speculate or evidence what the preprepared twisting entailed for >10 players, at least not at this stage.

If you read sonic literally sonic said if any house wants to leave.

I do think the more players 11 v 10 is of marginal advantage to house, so some kind of marginal compensating advantage to circle or weakening of house in whatever twisting entailed would be reasonable.

I dont think i agree with annies vote on katy.

I dont like discarding the mingling chat.

I do agree this has got confusing.

@ Loose Canon
then what is "... Kong, by default, died as House" ?

It doesn't say as rule 11 - "11. Once you are turned out, you are done. ..."

The Narrator should explicity state if a player leaving the game by own request. Since died at House refers to joing the Circle. Dead of House is the Secretary Slip.
