I could swear that earlier today both Hjelp and Loose gave me the impression they were gonna concede and confess to being the Things...hence the high activity to get to that point. But finally we did not land there.

Also, it's pretty stupid it's me that had to be the one to give them both the best way out of this mess instead of themself coming up with it..by saying if they both have names - and there is no counterclaim - then chances are hight one of them is town..., but ofcourse it could very well be they both are.

But all day long it was Hjelp and Loose in cahoots, and they were the most scummy too, and now the geese are running the clock together it seems so we miss deadline..

Loose should have gotten his senses back a long way before this. Not with the noose already tight, and an apple in his mouth, and an onion stuffed where the snowcat manual says the battery goes..

It's too late to start new search activity, if he is town he should of tought about that days ago, not in the overtime. Besides we only FT Loose when Hjelp flips scum. If Hjelp flips town then Mcready gets to choose (but Loose would not be the best choice IF and only IF Hjelp flips town somehow).

Yes sorry for that. But there was a moment it seemed when both Hjelp and Loose were going to throw the towel and confess to be The Things..

That moment passed. What is left is a nastier reading. And the paranoia that If Hjelp flips Thing, he has a reason to drag Loose down with him, so the flamethrower lands on town Loose instead of on his own unknown half. Two names but no counterclaim...

We could discuss the possibility that Loose is the recruit so he can't convert anybody tonight if Hjelp is the OGT. Take FT chances on the OGT and BT Loose tomorrow...

But it was Loose who said a bit too many times he would always be the recruit and never the OGT... and that is exactly what a Loose OGT would say ofcourse...

So therefore if true and no countercliam of Windows or 2nd Back up I have to have been recruited if infected.
Hjelp claimed Nauls also claimed recruited but either the Nauls and/or the recruited could be false if no counterclaim - could be claiming the OG identity of the player he infected

2 Other players particularly Kong and to an extent you I think need to claim identity at least for me to prove innocence.
Don't think Kong can claim so because would either have to be counterclaimable on identity by another player or claim identity of a player not in the first game 9

Then a flip by Hjelp would reveal a lot AND if identity of a player infected has been claimed by Hjelp

A credible unclaimed alreadty and not counterclaimable ID by either you and/or Kong would prove innocence of either or Kongh and you.

Thats as far as I can get easily although I think further concrete proof that either/and I or Hjelp are innocent already might already be with us.

Loose, say for the sake of argument you are the OGT. Then you are the nameless dog from the opening scene, the one DDS posted in the you tube movie scenes.

What matters is: No name of your own.

Then as OGT You recruit Hjelp. He is the obvious first pick for you. Reminds you a bit of Max, except he is a lot more dangerous once he is scum.

Then the two of you get cornered in the dying minutes of D1. I already said the why. So what do you do, nameless OGT, when you have to speak?

You have to gamble on a name a townie already skimmed past, because the DDS game PM reads like flavor. You cannot take MacReady. His PM will say he has the flamethrower and he is the vig. But that line about "an unexpected hero finding the FT in the morning" lets you work something out...

You conclude that Windows and Childs were never told they were backup vig.

It is probably not in their PM. So You claim second back up vig "Windows".. because who would remember a name like "windows" from his PM at game start anyways?. And you can spin extra motive in his name that your too important to flame up.

The best false claim that buys is the second backup "Windows". "Windows" does not even read like a person. It reads like the "windows on the base". Flavor. Something you skim in your DDS PM quit easy and forget. Your counting on that if yourr the OGT.

Also this. When you voted Hjelp on L-1 he posted a song by a band called CHICKEN. You just voted him before because it was "checkmate on you" if you did not, so you "bus the partner".

That "CHICKEN" is a clean hidden note from a Thing to its goose master. "Chicken"...Then right after that message you unvoted and came out with the this play: Hjelp is Thing, I changed my mind, & lynch me because I am Windows, then you will see I am town and you still can FT Hjelp? W.T.A.F.?

That reasoning is bad. If you were actually town you could not be sure Hjelp is Thing. A town Windows does not hand a 100% theory and then ask to be lynched to prove it? When all his theories before turned out goose fethers...

So I am pretty sure we have caught a Thing between you and Hjelp. Maybe both.

So if Hjelp flips town, you need crispy skin.

I still say I want Kong to claim a name to prove he is innocent in the first instance.
I also want Dev to claim a name or if not comfortable/not sure to unvote or just temporarily vote on Kong.

I think most probably I need Kong to claim a name to give me the best chance of proving my innocence either self evidently after Hjelp has flipped or failure on Kongs part to claim a name.

A guilty Loose would not quite be shown guilty because not - but nowhere reasonable place left to turn.

So its corner me if you can Kong (and to a lesser extent Dev)

Cost of that not happening is possibly down to 1 potential flamethrower when I flip as I claim. - and there will be 2 things on the loose D2

i feel this. i did not need to log in at midnight and read 5 pages of posts lol. busy friday morning from you guys.

a couple thoughts... i don't think LC's move of saying he thinks hjelp is infected but then unvoting is so crazy. on the surface, yeah.. it looks sus. but he knows right now he's tied to hjelp. buying himself time to try and show that someone else is infected is the right play to make.

the problem is, i just don't think he's convinced anybody of that. his idea to force kong to claim doesn't help. kong claimed a name. nobody has counterclaimed that yet. but what would you have done if kong claimed one of the names already claimed? if kong was the thing or the infected, that's the easiest claim to make. he could have claimed the same name as LC.. and then we're right back to arguing who we believe... and LC is not going to win that argument.

i think, seeing everything, that it's time. we don't need to risk running out of time or something crazy happening.

As far as LC's guilt- I think sonic went fanatical and stopped listening to him a while ago. I don't like this because until someone is proven guilty, we should entertain their arguments in good faith. LC has thrown up some red flags, but, to be back on my bullshit, that has a lot to do with him posting a lot. If King posted half as much as LC, sonic (and I) would be flipping out over the guilt tells. P.S. King, I don't remember anything you said to offend me our first game. I have stuck with you as a nemesis figure for fun and amusement.

I would like to shout out LC's "onion and sage elsewhere" joke as being good.

So I'm glad sonic, in his extreme vehemence, is proven town. I have good reason to go against the certified human with the most enthusiasm and experience. I agree hjelp has had awkward unhelpful/meaningless posts at critical times. Lc I agree has had a kinda scrambly movement pattern and with the name thing is again putting forward strategy that seems anti town. Do I not understand the name plan because it is bad or because he got steamrolled? I would like to see a living LC and a flamed lurker.

Of my own lurking, I'm done with this penguins and ancient aliens bullshit and have decided to devote myself to studying tropical environments. Thursdays and Fridays for the next month or so (if we live that long) are devoted to wading birds, adaptations to salt environments, and the challenges facing amphibians.

Well this was anti climatic. Thought the game would go the distance. Didn't think Hjelp would immediately get zeroed on. I'm a little shocked that Sonic didn't remember that I nixed the idea of having a 0 day conversion in the previous game, but I just let that idea run it's course for added paranoia.
