Actually sonic asked an interesting question of a player - who would you have infected.
And he might have asked same question of another player too as a fun question, but i only speed found the first.

Id i think be able to answer that with my concious or subconcious reason.
It would probably have been sonic. I think i would have got there for a positive reason as i usually when choosing someone to recruit at work end up choosing someone who gave me something at interview that i really liked, and the result of doing that seems i somehow get good people who become friends. With sonic i like him, and thinking about it admire him for being Successfully Brave

If everyone else gave best their honest answer to the same question as at the d0 decision time, the og thing would either have to give the truth or a lie.

Either truth or lie could have repercussions for og thing.

Ill invite charle to be first to answer but actually id like everyone to give it thought and give their best answer so please jump in as you wish

And Rag turned out to be wolf..

So a battle has a purpose.

I stopped engaging Rag because of too much flood level yes (but i wish i hadn't because you know..., he turned out to be wolf..).

Same goes here, except gut feeling now says Loose is town. Just making extra sure by engaging a bit more.

Anyways, time for others to contribute. Because, the more you talk the harder it gets for the Things: You can't read silence

Now about Charle, he could be the OGT (original Thing). If so who would he have recruited? I think Kong.

You can argue that since Kong is (or should be by general concensus here) the N°1 on the Thing recruit list for N0 it would be stupid to have picked him. But remember, The Thing had not a lot of time to think about it so i say, chances are pretty high, the Thing has choses the first player to come to mind.

If so, Kong is very, very high on the "who is the recruit" list.

who i'd recruit if i was The OGT:

1. Sonic
2. Charle: fun chaos and you play for fun so yes to Charles (personal choice because of the fun we had in the game with PMC) if we have night talks
3. Loose: hell yeah
4. Dev: why not Dev, Dev is always town it seems so yes and also: he never gets lynched in the first days, it would be a very smart and good strategic choice to recruit Dev
5. Annie: could work as winning team, i definitely consider her
6. Traf no, risk of not being there ('busy real life") / only interested in NA / personal reasons
7. Kong : very smart player, you want him on your side. Has the ability to make very good analytical posts.
8. Homer don't know him well enough, so no but he seems a solid veteran
9. Bunny : would be an unexpected choice and therefore a big yes
10. Hjelp : always very very hard to read due to his unique Hjelp logic so yes

Now who of those 7 i would have chosen is very hard to say. I don't know realy. Each for different reasons could have made it.

Regarding the BT, you are welcome to test me, I have no objection at all, but the point I am making is that we are wasting energy on a BT, specially on day 1 when we do not have much to work on. We should get the BT done, and then rather have more time to figure out who else. The BT negative, will let us know that one person is not the OGT or the first recruit. The positive should be lynched, not immediately, a bit later in the day to give us a bit more info to work on. So let's get on with the BT, whether it is me, or Loose, or Sonic, or whoever, just get it done so we can move forward. We have a whole day ahead of us to work with that result and maybe get some more info before we lynch someone later.

It will be awful if DDS is giving us a deadline for D1 and we still haven't done the bt yet.

Ooh, LC gains favor points for posing this question.

1. Sonic- top choice pick because of the way he can steer things and for his love of The Thing theme
2. Charle- I don't think I would because of slip-up liability
3. Loose- don't think I would bc he was on the ropes so much in high school. Also gives him a chance to reveal more about his approach which I find somewhat unpredictable.
4. Dev- solid choice if I want an under the radar pick. Feels like a safer choice somehow.
5. Annie- invalid choice
6. Traf- top pick for ability to deliver "level headed logic" and disappear without explanation
7. Kong- solid pick very similar to traf, dev, and homer
8. Homer- that time he was a cop and died early gave him this place in my head where he is owed a chance to play a cool role and I like his contributions. Good balance of credibility and volume.
9. Bunny- don't think so because she's newer and might give more tells. High volume/low experience is not where I'm putting my bet. It feels more correct to turn a man into an alien.
10. Hjelp- I really enjoy the unique hjelp logic and might pick him for a fun choice.

I think in the end I think it's homer for me.

Great question LC. Only concern is this might be giving the Thing ideas for conversions. Assuming it is not one of them already I would see Charle and LC as the first go to choices based on prior games played but those seem obvious to me so likely would to most, would also put sonic in this category. Traf would be a good pick too but likely unreliable. Annie and bunny would be the offshoots to do the unexpected but pending on who the thing is would be hard to say if they would pay it that way. So for strong players but not obvious choices would come down to Kong or homer, maybe even hjelp but out of those three would say kong would likely be the best recruit so as to come under the radar

First; @Hjelp: not sharing any info is anti-town.. Players like Fusibaseball and EW made that a mantra.

Second, Hjelps activity level is lower then in other games. And more deflective in general.?

Three, if we should have to think outside the box and play strategical... what would be towns best move here to handle this?

Why again would you want to waste a BT on Hjelp?

Hjelp is super hard to read. So if we waste a BT on him today it will have 2 outcomes: positive test or negative;

But let's say he tests negative. Then Hjelp is becoming very interesting for The Thing to convert because so hard to read..

And we can't keep wasting BT's on the same person..

I say we test either Kong or Charle and Mcready torches Hjelp tonight. Bit harsh? Yes, but we need to be in order to win.

The wy Traf is staying absent i think he will be replaced by Kingm anytime now. Then Hjelp is the best "flame on" choice. Sorry Hjelp, but your way too silent in this game and when you do post it sounds scummy..

There's been some food for thought responses to the who would you have recruited question so far - and they should give Traf/Replacement a decent entry point to make a contribution when resolved.

Can I please encourage others who haven't answered to make their best honest attempt to do so too. Pending Traf/Replacement this is an ideal time for you.

I'm personally inclined to move myself into holding mode just for now but (except if being asked a question) there's no reason others should too

I’ve been traveling for a while and only access to my phone - yes- I’ve been busy so I posted less than usual. It might be that what I wrote is meaningless deflection post but the question was stated which to recruit and my answer is honest, I would have tried to recruit the FT players first if I was OGT regardless which player it is. If that is obvious, still nobody stated it. By your style then all obvious posts are meaningless. Then my thoughts are meaningless to post. If they are obvious to others. Is that why you didn’t comment on my question - how can we be sure of it there are two Things already. Since you didn’t comment then it wasn’t meaningless posted. So how do you know that we can be sure of that there are two Things already?

I can’t since I wouldn’t know who they are. The point is that it would have been my strategy if I was OGT regardless of which players are FT. But I would have tried to find out who they were. Now still, I prefer kongming to answer my question.
