Why are people moving out of california?
Many residents are leaving California due to a combination of economic and social factors. The primary reasons include:

High Cost of Living: Rising housing prices and overall living expenses are significant motivators for relocation. Many families find it increasingly difficult to afford homes in California.

Taxes and Politics: Higher taxes and political climate are also cited as reasons for the exodus. Some residents seek states with lower tax burdens and different political environments.

Quality of Life Issues: Concerns about crime, pollution, and traffic congestion contribute to dissatisfaction with living conditions.

Job Opportunities: Many individuals are moving in search of better employment opportunities in states like Texas, Arizona, and Nevada.

Since 2015, California has seen a net loss of nearly 900,000 residents, with housing being a primary reason for this trend.
California -0.02% -0.08% << loss since 2020; 39,345,844 <<< population data, based on US Census
https://worldpopulationreview.com/state ... e-by-state
Simple Math, RIGHT, Mookie??

from AI Summary

2nd question, for Mookie to address:

Which states are losing population the fastest?
The states experiencing the fastest population declines include:

California: Notable for its high cost of living and recent outmigration trends.

Hawaii: Also facing significant outmigration, particularly among younger residents.
New Mexico: Struggling with economic challenges leading to population loss.
Vermont: A small state with limited job opportunities contributing to its decline.
West Virginia: Continues to see a decrease due to economic factors and outmigration.
Additional Insights:

States like Illinois and Connecticut are also losing residents, albeit at a slower rate.
The trend is often linked to high living costs, economic opportunities, and quality of life factors.
From a second AI Summary (above)

and ONE more AI Summary:
Which states are losing population the fastest in rank order list?

The states losing population the fastest, ranked by percentage decline, are:

California

Hawaii
New Mexico
Vermont
West Virginia
These states have experienced significant population losses according to the latest census data[/size]
Yes, simple MATH and simple message: People are leaving Mookie's state of CA for several reasons, INCLUDING high taxes, lack of opportunities, and a BAD political Climate.

No, this was me saying CA has high gas taxes. Prices don't change because of a tax rate. You post this retarded AI drivel trying to deflect from the fact that everyone (pretty much the whole world) has high gas prices, but really really high Diesel prices because of foreign policy decisions made by the guy this thread is about.

The tax rate isn't fluctuating and changing, the price of oil is.

I'm sure you aren't ready to 'admit' to that yet though, I'll expect another bunch of retarded attempts at deflection and finger pointing because that's all you know how to do and it makes you feel better about the shit you are putting the country though because of who you supported politically.

Mookie used to post intelligent discussion. Now he is consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome (and, as I said, out of control emotionally) and cannot post anything close to anything intelligent. His state of California is a LOSER: losing population, electing CRAZY Democrats, and paying OUTRAGEOUS taxes due to HORRIBLE Government management. Note the discussion of the high speed train in the STATE that went FAR over-budget. That boondoggle typifies CA finanace and Government: Horrible.

More money "well-spent" by California:
California high-speed rail project faces delays, rising costs, and criticism

California’s high-speed rail project, once envisioned as a groundbreaking transportation system connecting San Francisco to Los Angeles by 2020, has been plagued by delays, soaring costs, and widespread criticism, with completion now projected for 2039.

David Tangipa, a Republican state assembly member representing the Fresno area, shared his frustration with the project, which began when he was a child.

“Whenever anybody asks me what my position on high-speed rail is, I tell them I did not vote for high-speed rail because I was 12 years old when this project started,” Tangipa said.

Now 30, he and other lawmakers, including Sen. Shannon Grove, R-Bakersfield, believe the project has derailed.

(...) far exceeding the original $33.5 billion estimate for the entire project. The authority now projects the cost to connect the Bay Area to Los Angeles could reach $230 billion, with completion pushed to 2039.

Surprise; your TDS is showing, AGAIN.

Nothing worth saying, HUH??  THAT Figures (that's a MATH reference, btw).

I am SURE Kamala would have TRIED to bring to America what is going on in CA NOW: ALL to the Detriment of this great nation. We are NOT in a good place now, not with the Huge Deficit (that Trump is adding to, with his releckless ways and spending and silly promises to give away money).

DO I agree with Trump and this WAR vs. Iran (and thus higher fuel prices)? NO, as I stated SEVERAL Times before. Take away ALL your silly check marks. Try something intelligent and not more insults, Mookie.

Trump Administration Secures Two New US Military Sites in Greenland, But Denmark Insists NATO Leads Arctic Security

The United States is set to expand its military presence in Greenland as Washington, Copenhagen and Nuuk prepare to sign a new security agreement that would reportedly establish two additional U.S. military sites on the island.

US Expands Greenland Military Presence
On Tuesday, Denmark, Greenland and the U.S. are expected to sign the security agreement at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reported Reuters.
https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/ ... c-security

Thanks to HitRed for reminding me of that in another thread:
by HitRed » Sat Sep 19, 2026 8:57 am

The US reached a deal with Denmark and Greenland allowing permanent US military rights on Greenland, while respecting its sovereignty.
The premise of that other thread is JUST SILLY. Let's actually discuss the merits and faults of the President's policies, actions, and words; let's not post MORE silliness that is basically merely Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Military sites acts as a FORT, to discourage military actions in a region. It is an ACT of Defense and NOT WAR. That is one reason why I oppose the re-naming of the DoD (DEFENSE) to Department of War.

From AI Summary:
The primary purpose of a fort is defense. Forts are military structures designed to protect territories and establish control during warfare. They serve various functions, including:

Protection of Strategic Locations: Forts safeguard important trade routes, settlements, and resources from enemy attacks.
Staging Grounds: They act as bases for launching offensive operations against adversaries.
Establishing Control: Forts help in asserting dominance over a region, especially during peacetime or in preparation for conflict.
Military Shelter: They provide secure accommodations for troops and equipment, enhancing operational readiness.

Only one issue with that. Denmark and Greenland claim it is absolutely false and that nothing has changed with the US.

I know Americans aren't big on irony...but the biggest irony here is that those who support Trump are actually the ones suffering from a derangement syndrome. The rest of us have Trump Clarity Syndrome.
279 million adults at $5000 each...if they all vote for him, that's $1.395 trillion. It would cost Elon Musk's entire wealth and a bit more. Where would this money come from?

I know you’re apparently an expert on American economics from across the pond, but contrary to your brilliant $1.395 trillion calculation, that $5,000 doesn’t get launched into outer space the second the government sends it.

Americans will spend it, businesses will earn it, employees will get paid from it, and it’ll get taxed roughly 3,251 times before Uncle Sam sees chunks of it again. 😂

But I do love the fact that Trump lives rent-free in your head all the way across the Atlantic. The man is obviously ruling internationally.

TRUMP WORLDWIDE!!! 🌎😂

I'm wondering if you would support the lowering of consent age to 13?

At the time that article was written, the text of the agreement still wasn't available. Trump's assertions had to be unchallenged, for lack of any real evidence.

Now that the text of the article is available, we see that what most of us suspected from the beginning was true: there's not much in the "new" agreement that wasn't in the old (1951) agreement, and Trump as usual was blowing his own horn about pretty much nothing.

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/artic ... urity-deal

A few minor changes. The U.S. gets two new bases. LOL, hardly an "increase" since it has shut down 26 bases in Greenland since 1951.

The agreement has no end date (which is why Trump crows about it being "forever") but it can end in several ways:
  • by mutual agreement
  • if Greenland becomes independent; and most intriguingly
  • If the U.S. leaves NATO.
Trump's boasting about him being able to veto anyone else making a base there is pure B.S. Only non-NATO countries can be excluded in that way.
