Greetings. Mafiosa

After finally running the latest Event (a few years in the planning), I have approached the Site Leadership in regards to me taking control of this Forum.
After putting it out there that I have other plans under way, I am surprised and humbled by the response I have recieved from you all.

MAFIA IS NOT DEAD ON THIS SITE

What I have proposed to the GOATS:

• An overhaul of the Forum firstly.. not that there is much here.. (and I have already started)
• Incentives to create and run a MAFIA game
• A budget for Site Prizes to be spread amoungst the active games per quarter.
• A SITE SANCTIONED GAME, most likely a large quarterly event with enhanced prizes like what has just been run.

I would like your comments and suggestions to this proposal

It's almost Christmas again...

I'm not a big fan of the run up to Xmas so I'm lukewarm about co-hosting a Xmas game now.

What I would happily do either with Hjelp or anyone else who fancies trying their hand at hosting a game is co-host with them?

The way I see it is someone PMs me if they fancy it.
We discuss a theme or flavour and find a common ground that we both find interesting/have knowledge of.

We then discuss in the background by PMs or Chatzy the mechanics with the aim of getting a game oven ready for whatever would be THE GAME AFTER THE NEXT ONE.
ie we are currently playing Ragians beautifully flavoured game.
If someone PMd me now I wouldn't want the game we are co-hosting to be the next one - instead I'd want it to be the one after that.

(In terms of solo hosting a game again I'm sort of thinking of doing a Line of Duty themed game once each calendar year but haven't started preparing one yet for 2027)

I don't care if a Christmas one is done during the festive days or now. I just think that if there's a layout for a game ready to go, we should defo do that. Also, I'm not a fan of high posters running a game, but I guess that's just how that needs to be...

I get what you are saying re high posters and pitfalls when they/we host.
But we do have to try to take our fair share in hosting.

Solo hosting the Line of Duty series' will be my go to in 2027 unless/until I think of something I like better as a theme/flavour.

Your Civilitas High game works really well because we've all been to school and have school experiences to lean into.
Your Black Metal game worked well because its something you had interest in.

I'm up for co-hosting or assisting the hosting of a game with someone who hasn't tried their hand at hosting yet, so is a bit cautious at trying.

And actuall your Black Metal game made me think next time I host why not theme it around sometihng I really like as Rag did - and that led me to ahh Line of Duty

I can try to host one next since my active participation is fairly low right now and i'd rather more active players not host as the pool is low enough as it is. Would just have to look up some ideas and format and go from there if we got enough interested parties.
