April = 866 .. and that’s with an Easter thrown in..I can’t see us now getting a chance to go back over 1,000 again until November if I’m honest.. the really worrying thought is how low could the numbers go over the northern hemisphere summer with a World Cup too in the mix.Davie.K wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:19 amDavie.K wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 1:02 am886 .. November passes with 892 !! Mid November looked like we were going to smash back through the 1,000 mark but that stalled dramatically after the changes/update/facelift..with a combination of people getting used to it and winter northern hemisphere plus holidays I’d be very surprised not to see us smash through 1,000 barrier for December.
I am very surprised …. 872
It’s getting worse…January … 857 …. I think it’s over guys
912 for March … a good but expected number maybe..I’ll be quite.. no,very surprised if April tops it as we head into the northern hemisphere spring…. On a personal level I now believe this is a better measure of things than the lowest recorded totals I’ve done in the past.it nullifies the odd spikes with Multis and groups of friends who come for a short visit.
Oh I forgot about Easter.. that’ll boost the numbers.. but again more in the old way of recording than the 20 games completed way, which as I say is a more active thermometer.

I know I keep beating a dead horse but this is a volunteer/community driven site. We can count ups and downs month to month of lapsed users from yester year but ultimately you are on borrowed time unless you get new blood in. CC would need a product manager focused on ease of use/new user funnel, an SEO lead, paid acquisition manager (google ads, facebook ads, etc.), and other roles (not sure how much of this exists as of today) to continue to live on. These are not small investments but I suggest everyone just enjoy the remaining time left that we have.
PS join my games pls - they are sitting much longer than average lol

I Think a lot of it is the generational differences.
we probably grew up playing candy land, life, and battleship and eventually more thought-needed games like chess and risk and setback with our parents as kids.
Today's kids play minecraft, roblox, and text each other.
There isn't much of a population for new influx at this point. All board games except games that are 1000s of years old are at risk

I disagree - there is a huge board game community - you just have to appeal to them still with a classic like this. Plenty of people are playing boardgames on emulators on steam etc. But the browserbased gaming is mostly dead. If CC were to build an interface for speed games within steam it actually might take off. But you'd have to switch the payment model most likely to be appealing, or update user interface.
I think it has mostly to do with:
- Marketing
- Usage/platform
- UI (to go along with being put into an actual game/application on steam)

May = 871 .. surprisingly passing the April total truly is once in a blue moon … if we get past 850 for June though I’ll eat my own cock.Davie.K wrote: Fri May 01, 2026 1:30 amApril = 866 .. and that’s with an Easter thrown in..I can’t see us now getting a chance to go back over 1,000 again until November if I’m honest.. the really worrying thought is how low could the numbers go over the northern hemisphere summer with a World Cup too in the mix.Davie.K wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:19 amDavie.K wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 1:02 am886 ..
