US military fires at Iran-flagged ship in Gulf of Oman


US forces warned the ship that it was in violation of the blockade, but its crew “failed to comply with repeated warnings” so a US F/A-18 Super Hornet “disabled the tanker’s rudder by firing several rounds from [its] 20mm cannon gun”, CENTCOM said in a post on X.

It added that the ship they targeted is “no longer transiting to Iran”.
