I also think that Netanyahu and many Israelis KNOW that:

1) the time to strike and weaken their current MAIN threat, Iran, is NOW;

2) there will very likely NOT be another US President who would support Israeli war efforts to the extent that Trump does;

3) Iran has been weakened, first by their proxies in Gaza, Lebannon, Syria, and Yemen;

4) and the Killing of the Iranian General** who oversaw many terrorists acts and Groups has weakened MAJOR effort to hurt Israel and US interests in the Middle East;

5) the US, under Trump, is willing to project AND use US Military Power to "get our way" and to, basically BULLY other nations with whom the US and Trump have "issues."

I also think the World does NOT need MO ... r weapons.

This is one BIG reason Kim Jong Un of North Korea will NOT give up his nuclear arsenal. He fears that the US, under different US Presidents, may try to "take him out" as the US (with NATO support) did with Maduro, Noriega, Gaddafi and other Despots.

Although he wasn't in the same year, they would have met at Army Cadets, where my brother would no doubt have shouted at him in a 'resistance is useless' sort of way, as he often did to me at home. My nickname was (and still is, with a small number of people) 'Gag'.
