Plot Hole
I just finished reading one of Peter Lovesey's detective stories, and there was a massive plot hole. I wondered whether it was a mistake ( the two contradictory clues were hidden within a very few pages of each other) or whether the author was daring the reader to find the real solution. So I looked him up, to see if there was a website where I could ask. But he died last year....

Re: Plot Hole
So I thought further about this, and realised another glaring obstacle in the way of the apparent solution. No way is Lovesey such a sloppy plotmeister. an apparently trivial piece of gossip at the end of the book makes me think my favourite suspect is the actual guilty party. I think I need to read it again. Damn, why couldn't I have read this a couple of years ago when I could have contacted him?

So you could have the joy of devoloping these theories yourself...
