A couple more finals in Week 8...both down-to-the-wire thrillers.
Gresham puts together a winning 10-play drive to get past Forest Grove 10-7. Gresham's WR1 hauled in an 8-yard TD catch for the winning score with 0:34 to play. Forest Grove suffered costly missed field goals in the first and fourth quarters.
Gresham's QB completed 8-of-9 passes for 58 yards on the game-winning march.
Gresham's WR2 finished with 7 catches for 115 yards.
And South Salem got a 19-yard TD catch from WR2 with 4:06 to play for the winning points in the Saxons' 28-21 win over Bend. The Lava Bears got a long pass to WR2 to get into the red zone in the final minute, but ran out of time when their tight end was tackled at the 3-yard line as time expired.
South Salem found the end zone three times in the first quarter to jump out to an early 21-0 lead, highlighted by a 33-yard punt return for a score.

Sherwood wins a defensive battle 14-3 over Beaverton. The Bowmen's RB1 found the end zone twice right before halftime to provide the winning margin.
And Lakeridge wins a tight one 21-14 over Jesuit, creating a logjam atop the City Division. The Pacers got the winning touchdown after putting together a 15-play, 81-yard drive in the fourth quarter. The Lakeridge TE caught a 5-yard TD pass for the winning score with 5:31 to play -- his second TD grab of the game.
A series of incompletions prevented Jesuit from converting a first down on either of its last two drives.

And another final in Week 8...Central Catholic beats Grant 25-10 to force a three-way tie atop the City Division heading into the final week of the regular season.
Grant struck first with a 46-yard field goal, but Central Catholic answered immediately with a 78-yard kickoff return for the go-ahead touchdown.
Central Catholic RB1 had 18 carries for 78 yards. The Rams defense finished with 7 sacks and held Grant to 20 total yards.

Week 9 final. Central Catholic makes its case to the Willamette Divison title with a dominant 2nd half to beat Canby with three touchdowns in the third quarter.
Central Catholic's QB completed 18 of 24 passes for 190 yards with four touchdowns.
The Rams defense was also on point with five sacks and another six tackles for loss.

Another Week 9 final Summit beats Barlow 20-17 with a 30-yard field goal with 2:51 to play.
The Bruins drove to midfield before its comeback drive hit a series of incompletions and turned the ball over.
Summit QB completed 13 of 20 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns, while WR1 caught most of those passes with 7 catches for 77 yards.
The win gives Summit a shot at the Cascades Division title as final results still roll in.

Franklin beats Polk High 27-17. The Lightning booted a pair of 40+yard field goals and WR2 caught a short TD pass in the third quarter that put Franklin up 24-10.
Franklin's QB completed 19 of 26 passes for 197 yards and two TDs.
And Tigard scored a 9-7 win over Beaverton on the power of three field goals. Tigard's WR1 caught a 26-yard pass in the final minute and was brought down at the 1-yard line, setting up the winning field goal with 0:14 to play.

We have another Week 9 final with Sherwood holding off Gresham at the goal line for a 16-13 win that gives the Bowmen the Cascades Division title -- one a points differential tiebreaker over Summit.
Sherwood's WR2 caught a 9-yard touchdown pass for a touchdown on the team's opening drive, and the Bowmen went 3-for-3 on field goals, including a 27-yarder with 9:12 to play that provided the winning points.
Gresham drove inside the 10-yard line in the final minute of the game, but got stuffed for no gain on 4th-and-1, which allowed Sherwood to run out the remaining ticks on the clock.

South Salem beats Grants Pass 24-17 to finish the season on a 3-game win streak.
The Saxons got three TD passes from their QB in the first quarter to take quick command of this one, and a key 3-minute drive at the end of the game that included a pair of first downs allowed them to run down the clock on any Grants Pass comeback hopes.
The Cavemen did get the ball back late, but could not get past their own 30-yard line before time expired.

Lakeridge wraps up the City Division crown with a 21-6 win over Grant, with WR1 catching 8 passes for 62 yards and two TDS, while RB1 dominated the second half with 17 carries for 106 yards total.
The Lakeridge defense came up big with 4 sacks and two safeties in the second half, while holding Grant out of the end zone for the whole game.
Lakeridge wins the City Division tiebreaker based on head-to-head wins over Central Catholic and Jesuit in a packed division.

And the regular season is complete with Jesuit beating Forest Grove 27-3. The Crusaders took a 24-0 lead into halftime and never looked back.
