Where did the event page go? What's the latest score?

Will games like this count towards players' score? Where neither player is a mod?

There shouldn't be any such games as tournament game creation permissions were only given to mods but...

There might be a case of the game being dropped but not deleted - do you have an example game?

The game should be scored as normal in this case.

In previous years, I sometimes created games and removed myself before they finished filling. My logic was, I believe, perfectly sound. Every player should be able to get some games in, and there's not enough mods to go around. However, some mods got irrationally pissed off at me, and I discontinued the practice to avoid the arguments. I did not make any such games this year. It's quite possible someone else did. It's even very easy to do by accident: to invite yourself to games and forget to accept the invite.

Anyway, like you said, they should score normally.

Sure! Here's one I found the other day when looking to see who might still up their score I came across: https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=23483184

Not sure if there were others so don't know if they will get credit towards their game count and/or their win count (and thus win percentage).

Example 1:
The player directly above me in the rankings nibotha - who is a perfect example, because I won't beat them, even if the score changes to be reflected correctly:
52 games (51 mod opponents)
36 wins (35 mod opponents)
https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=23492456

36/52 = 69.2%
35/51 = 68.6%

Example 2:
Don however, got 3 games vs devante, who I don't think is a mod, and 3 wins. I don't know the best way to handle that, since he only would have 17 games. But would probably be most fair, to just not count them and still allow him to medal.
14/20 = 70%
11/17 = 64.7%

Kevi did not face other players - only mods.

Win tokens will still be awarded until 22nd November (From the event page) :

Code: Select all
Get Play Tokens when Games Start (before 2024-10-20 17:00:00) and Win Tokens when you Win (before 2024-11-22 23:59:59)

I think you are raising a legitimate issue and thank you for pulling up some examples.

We will look into this - we'll have this sorted for next time, but whether or not we can retroactively adjust the existing scores with this additional valid condition, not sure yet, will let you know - the complexity here would be to make the wholesale retroactive adjustments on all of the leaderboard, the logs, and the inventory.

Yeah it would be a decent amount of changing I feel. I can see potential for abuse, but I see none here (at least in those that were higher on the leaderboard), and don't think it would be fair to disqualify Don. I don't see anyone intentionally targeting these open/unfilled games.

Devante is a mod. He appear as such on the scoreboard for olympic event.
But agree that games between two regulars player shouldn't count towards win %. While players can't be blamed for not knowing their opponents weren't a mods - so count them for the 20 minimums required games.

Oh, that's interesting. Either a mistake in the setup/classification, or I'm just a dummy.

Edit: He doesn't have colors, but it does say that Devante is a Tournament Director in his usergroups
