The very fact that civil trials are allowed to proceed on criminal matters that lack a criminal court decision just shows how topsy-turvy and divorced from reality the U.S. Justice Legal System has become (both criminal and civil). No wonder nobody has any trust in the verdicts.

Trump is about to be un- convicted in NYC. Responding to the SCOTUS order, Merchan has delayed sentencing two months "if such is still necessary."

Let's summarize 3 of the 4 cases:

The NYC case brought by DA Bragg: there is an expired misdemeanor that is being packaged and peddled as a felony. For what, a bookkeeping error? That is the heart of an incredibly weak criminal case.

And this goes on while DA Bragg ignores actual violent crimes on the streets of NYC. REALLY?

And in Georgia, there is a likelihood that Fani Willis will go to jail before Trump ever will to answer for her legal misdeeds.

The documents case against Trump is overseen by a prosecutor, Jack Smith, who already has one Federal conviction overturned as actions by an overzealous attorney.

And people deny that there is the POSSIBILITY of a Democrat attempt to deny the POTUS to Trump on "trumped up" and weak legal cases? Really?

Despite Trump's personality and his business deeds (and POSSIBLE misdeeds), those are not on trial. HIS Politics are on trial. ALL this gives credence to many of the arguments that Trump makes on the campaign trail.

What to know about Jack Smith's testimony:

Jack Smith, the former special counsel who oversaw two criminal investigations into President Trump during the Biden administration, testified publicly for the first time Thursday at a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Smith's investigations dealt with Mr. Trump's retention of sensitive government documents after leaving the White House in 2021 and his attempts to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election. Both cases were brought to an end after Mr. Trump won a second term in November 2024.

Smith told lawmakers that Mr. Trump was charged "because the evidence established that he willfully broke the law — the very laws he took an oath to uphold." He defended his handling of the investigations, saying he had no regrets about how the cases proceeded. His testimony largely focused on the 2020 election case, since there is an ongoing court fight over his report on the classified documents probe.

GOP members portrayed his investigations as a politically motivated attempt to prevent Mr. Trump from returning to the White House. Democrats praised him and his team for their handling of the cases, accusing Republicans of trying to rewrite the history of Jan. 6 and the 2020 election.
