President Joe Biden on Wednesday suggested twice that the United States was unable to recover his uncle Ambrose Finnegan’s remains after Finnegan’s plane crashed near New Guinea during World War II, “because there used to be a lot of cannibals” in the region.

The Cass report was commissioned by the NHS to sift through the existing research and separate fact from fiction. After more than three years of research, Cass found that the affirmation model generally, and particularly as it was implemented in NHS’s now-shuttered gender clinic, is “built on shaky foundations” and supported by “remarkably weak evidence.” Many of the studies cited as evidence for affirmation “are exaggerated or misrepresented,” she added.

“Ideology on all sides has directed care, rather than care being directed by normal principles of pediatrics and mental health,” Cass wrote.

The report even goes so far as to caution against socially transitioning children, noting that encouraging impressionable children to adopt an entirely new identity is an “active intervention” that makes a patient “more likely to proceed to a medical pathway” from which there is no return. And, as Cass noted, the vast majority of children who express confusion about their gender are influenced by “social factors,” as well as “biological” and “psychological” ones, that are a part of the larger mental health crisis plaguing today’s youth. There is also the undeniable fact that most children grow out of their gender confusion if they are left to mature without intervention.

The Keystone State Is Key

In yesterday’s primary Biden delivered and put up big numbers, but Trump looked weaker and vulnerable

They have closed primaries. Only registered party members can vote.

This is an important victory for the President, who has invested heavily in Pennsylvania already, focusing especially on the threat Trump poses to democracy. It bears noting that Biden faced an organized protest vote, centered around U.S. policy toward Israel and Gaza, called “Abandon Biden.” But that effort failed to deliver numbers significant enough to dent Biden’s commanding win.

By comparison, Trump fared more poorly in Pennsylvania despite campaigning there recently. He won 83.5 percent of the vote—nearly ten percent less than Biden—with 16.5 percent voting for Nikki Haley. That’s a bit more than 1 in 7 GOP primary voters casting a protest vote against Trump.

Haley received nearly 156K votes, despite having dropped out of the race in early March. The numbers show lingering doubts over Trump among Republican voters in Pennsylvania.

On turnout, Biden put up some impressive numbers, especially for an incumbent with no significant opposition. With over 920,000 votes tabulated in his column, he smashed the turnout totals of the last two Democratic presidential incumbents, Barack Obama in 2012 and Bill Clinton in 1996:

Obama Vote 2012 Total: 616,102

Clinton Vote 1996 Total: 666,486

(The population of Pennsylvania did not grow by nearly the same percentage in this time, rising from 12.1 million in 1996 to around 12.9 million today.)

Trump only received around 786,000 votes from his party’s electorate yesterday, and overall GOP turnout was 46,000 lower than Democratic turnout. Both sides had important contested House primaries, so it doesn’t appear that either side had any less reason to turn out to vote.

Whenever vote counts come in, especially in the swing states, I skim the top line figures but then go straight for the breakdowns in those swingy, suburban counties outside of the major cities. For Pennsylvania, it’s the counties outside Philly that matter the most. It’s places like these where the 2024 election will be won or lost.

The good news is, Trump was weakest in those suburban counties yesterday, which are must-wins for his campaign, sometimes losing one in four GOP voters.

These are disastrous numbers for Trump if they hold true in November. Suburban women in particular came out strongly against Trump in 2020 after going for him in 2016. If Trump can’t win those voters back, he will have a steep uphill climb to make up the difference elsewhere.

Women will save America, again. And the insane Trump Super Supporters claim it is Biden and not Trump who has tons of stories showing he is a pedophile. Always projection with Republicans.

A White House insider is leaking that aides have rehearsed how to walk in proximity to Biden so that cameras can't capture his Old Man Shuffle. They have also instituted a strict "Anti-Tripping Protocol" to keep Biden from tumbling, tipping, tripping, or toppling, as he has a tendency to do.

President Biden has introduced a change to his White House departure and return routine. Instead of walking across the South Lawn to and from Marine One by himself, he's now often surrounded by aides.

Why it matters: With aides walking between Biden and journalists' camera position outside the White House, the visual effect is to draw less attention to the 81-year-old's halting and stiff gait.

Zoom in: Some Biden advisers have told Axios they're concerned that videos of Biden walking and shuffling alone — especially across the grass — have highlighted his age.

White House staffers and reporters alike noticed the sudden change in Biden's walk routine beginning in mid-April, after more than three years in which he'd typically walked solo.

The White House also has taken steps to prevent the president from tripping, as he did last summer on a stage at the Air Force Academy, including having him wear prescription medical shoes.

Nearly all legal experts were stunned they even took the case as the lower court thoroughly demolished Trump's ridiculous arguments for immunity.
These were not conservative arguments and speculations.
