Nebraska is set to adopt new legislation to award all of its votes in the Electoral College to the once and future president!

President Joe Biden’s campaign officials have been in private talks with Nebraska Democrats after Republicans in the state began pushing for changes that could close off one of the president’s clearest paths to reelection.

Former President Donald Trump and the state’s Republican governor, Jim Pillen, are encouraging state lawmakers to move legislation that would repeal Nebraska’s 1991 law that divides electors based both on who wins the state and how each candidate performs in its three congressional districts. Republican activists have targeted the law precisely because in recent cycles, including 2020, the Democratic presidential candidate won the Omaha-based 2nd District, giving them an additional Electoral College vote.

In elections past, Nebraska’s Electoral College votes were largely immaterial. But this cycle, Biden’s simplest path to reelection has long been seen as winning the old Democratic Blue Wall — Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin — and that Omaha-area district. Doing so would give Biden precisely the 270 electoral votes needed to win, even if he lost the remainder of the battleground states.

“When you look at the map, that one electoral vote really matters in combination with other things,” said Jim Messina, who steered Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. “The easiest pathway to victory has always been the three Midwestern states plus Nebraska. They’d have to find something else too.”

Someone can't keep up.

Nebraska lawmakers overwhelmingly reject Trump-backed ‘winner-take-all’ electoral system

An attempt to change Nebraska to a “winner-take-all” Electoral College system failed a key procedural vote late Wednesday, despite support by former President Trump, Gov. Jim Pillen (R) and Sen. Pete Ricketts (R).

I should start a thread called Dumb Democrats:
(Or Dumb things Democrats say; or Dumb things said by Dumb Democrats)

It’s never great to see an elected official make a clear and obvious mistake while speaking publicly. When the official is confidently making the mistake? Oof.

Such was the case Thursday when Vice President Kamala Harris mistakenly claimed that women’s college basketball players had not enjoyed the benefits of tournament brackets until just last year, 2022.

As the discussion turned to lighter fare, like the spike in public interest in women’s college basketball evidenced by record television ratings from Monday evening game between Iowa and LSU, VP Harris mistakenly explained that the rise in popularity was largely due to a lack of brackets:

Do you know? Okay, a bit of a history lesson. Do you know that women were not. The women’s teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022. Think about that. And what? That. Talk about progress. You know better late than never, but progress and what that has done. Because of course, when, you know, I had a bracket and it’s not broken completely, but I won’t talk about my bracket. But you know, just how we love we love March Madness. And even just now allowing the women to have brackets and what that does to encourage people to talk more about the women’s teams, to watch them now they’re being covered, you know, and and this is the reality people used to say are women’s sports. Who’s interested? Well, if you can’t see it, you won’t be. But when you see it, you realize, oh.

The thing is that Vice President Harris knows that the NCAA women’s tournament existed — with brackets — in 2021, evidenced by a bracket she filled out herself and posted on the social media platform then known as Twitter.

Due to his incompetence and amateurism, Biden may not even qualify to appear on the election ballot in Ohio -

President Biden could face issues getting on the Ohio ballot for the general election over a scheduling conflict related to the timing of the Democratic National Convention.

The deadline to certify a party’s White House candidate in the state is on Aug. 7, almost two weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Ill., slated for Aug. 19., possibly jeopardizing Biden’s ability to be on the ballot in the Buckeye state.

In the letter, obtained by The Hill, legal counsel Paul Disantis offered two solutions. “Therefore, pending further clarification, I am left to conclude that the Democratic National Committee must either move up its nominating convention or the Ohio General Assembly must act by May 9, 2024 (90 days prior to a new law’s effective date) to create an exception to this statutory requirement,” Disantis said in the letter, asking for a swift response on the matter to ensure compliance with Ohio’s law.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 ... -conflict/

Republicans control a supermajority in both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly and the Governor of Ohio is Republican, seemingly leaving little option for a last-minute change in the law. Barack Obama won Ohio in 2008 and 2012.

Even fellow Democrats point out Biden's re-election faults:

David Axelrod blasts Biden attempts to tout strong US economy: 'Drives me crazy when he does that'
Former Obama adviser David Axelrod criticized President Biden's economic strategies, revealing it drove him crazy when the president tried to "extol the miracle" of his economy as Americans struggle to afford groceries and more.

During an appearance on Bill Kristol's podcast, Axelrod said the president's strategy wasn't going to work.

"I wouldn’t go out there and extol the miracle of the Biden economy. It just drives me crazy when he does that," Axelrod said.

Axelrod noted Biden's Easter interview with Al Roker, arguing that him touting the "strongest economy in the world" was the wrong strategy.

You are absolutely right Mookie. The Democrats challenge even the President of the United States of America, even though he belongs to the same political party. Unlike the Republicans who fear real retaliation if they have a different opinion.

Right now Trump is top dog of the GOP and his sister in-law controls the RNC reins. Trump now controls not only the messaging, but the money.

You have the insurrectionist Speaker of the House being threaten daily by the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and a small batch of extremists to vote Johnson out of his leadership role. Three Republicans resigned causing the slimmest majority rule the Republican Party can remember. They got tired of the do-nothing Congress and the absurdity of going after Hunter and his laptop and other ridiculous investigations.

Yes! They have one thing in common, they ain't in office anymore. Only. Kinzinger and Cheney were in office while the impeachment trial was in session. Kinzinger did not run for re-election and Cheney got beat by a MAGA candidate.

UK Opens Relations with Trump Administration

As the lame duck Biden regime teeters along towards its inevitable, quiet and anti-climactic departure from the White House, major world powers are beginning to open dialog and negotiations with the Princes of Destiny.

British foreign secretary David Cameron appeared today for an audience before President Trump in the throne room at Mar-a-Lago.

The Foreign Secretary was due for talks with the Republican Presidential hopeful at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach. Lord Cameron is the first senior Government member to visit Trump since he left the White House in 2021.

Today President Trump made an impromptu stop at a Chik-fil-A in Valenica, Georgia to rip more of the Black vote from Biden's arthritic elderly fingers. Biden's Black support is down to 65 percent (from a usual Rat level of 90-95 percent). Everyone loved Trump and thanked him for what he did for Historically Black Colleges and Universities as president.

Biden is focused on the wrong things:

Biden's former chief of staff says the president spends too much time 'talking about bridges'

Biden's former chief of staff said the president is focusing too much on infrastructure.

"I think it's kind of a fool's errand," Ron Klain said at an event.

Klain said he thinks Biden should address issues more affecting voters, like rising grocery costs.
Democratic President Joe Biden's former White House chief of staff said he thinks the president is spending too much time publicly highlighting his infrastructure wins in office instead of addressing economic issues that impact voters.

Ron Klain, who worked in the Biden Administration from inauguration to February 2023, questioned Biden and his campaign's current tactics at an event on Tuesday, Politico reported.

"I think the president is out there too much talking about bridges," Klain said. "He does two or three events a week where he's cutting a ribbon on a bridge."
He said he thinks Biden should focus more on issues directly affecting people's daily lives, like the cost of groceries. During his time in office, Biden has signed a series of laws to fund projects to repair some of the nation's deteriorating infrastructure, which he's highlighted repeatedly on the campaign trail.

But to Klain, who was also Biden's right-hand-man during part of President Barack Obama's administration, Biden's priorities aren't what they should be — at least not for the position he's running for.

"He's not a congressman. He's not running for Congress," Klain said. "I think it's kind of a fool's errand. I think that also doesn't get covered that much because, look, it's a fucking bridge."

Biden recently visited the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore. He's insisted the federal government will cover the likely more than $600 million cost to rebuild it, drawing ire from a handful of congressional Republicans.

Klain has noted that it's difficult for people to see the results of major investments in infrastructure repair, especially when consumers are increasingly spending a larger chunk of their paychecks on food as inflation continues to impact families.

Klain may have a point — voters rarely, if ever, cite infrastructure or bridges as their top priorities for their leaders. Instead, in recent months, they've focused much more on economic, immigration, and foreign policy concerns.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-s-former-chief-of-staff-says-the-president-spends-too-much-time-talking-about-bridges/ar-BB1loNLJ?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=8df01aef76d744e3bf745a7b3c528681&ei=23

Biden continues to brag about all the federal money he spends, when he fails to realize that this spending is the root cause of the inflation that hurts so many Americans. INCOMPETENT, feeble, and pathetic. Let's go Brandon.
