Looking back at the variety of positions I have had...you should of asked for a face to face meeting.

I hope you were diplomatic in your complaints and you did not copy anyone else. Going over your manager's head and he/she finds out could either cause a hostile working environment or termination.

Just make sure you keep all records/history of your obviously poor working relationship with your manager.

No big deal if you know you can get hired elsewhere at or above your salary requirements.

Okay, not going to bore you with all the details, but basically a sociopath who is my 2nd in command was on the road to getting fired. Two days ago, after a six week investigation by HR, she was cleared and reinstated.

(No, I don't get a say in this. Just because the psycho bitch is my immediate subordinate doesn't qualify me to have any input into her hiring or firing. Fucking bureaucracies!)

So, even though I don't get a say, I wrote a letter expressing my outrage, calling it the stupidest decision I've ever seen.

Anyway, my immediate boss today told me, "that was the best email I've ever read! You should have been an English teacher." He happens to agree with me, but these decisions are made further up the food chain, and this bitch has laid her ground well, kissing ass to the higher-ups for years.

The official response from highest authority was "Thank you for expressing your concerns. We are monitoring the situation closely."
