RULES
This is a Round based Tournament where each Round needs to complete before we commence a new Round of Games.
SURVIVAL PHASE
Each Round each player will play 3 Games against the same opponent.
Map: Baltic Crusades
Settings: Auto, Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained, Foggy, Trench.
The SOLE OBJECT of the SURVIVAL PHASE is to reach the KO stages. When we get to the KO Phase, POINTS become meaningless! Up to that Phase, Points accumulation will only get you BYE's to get closer to the KO's! But these BYE's become CRUCIAL. Because players will FALL while you automatically advance to the next Round!
The SURVIVAL PHASE continues until ONLY 32 Players....or less SURVIVE!
SCORING
- Win 3-0 = 2 Points.
- Win 2-1 = 1 Point.
- Lose 1-2 = Zero Points, but.......You SURVIVE to progress to the next Round.
- Lose 0-3 = TOURNAMENT ELIMINATION regardless of your points total.
BYES
- For every 40 Players set to participate in a SURVIVAL ROUND, The Tournament Leader will recieve a BYE in the following Round (excluding Rd 1 Obv).
- If 300 Players progress to Rd 2, there will be 7 BYE's up for Grabs. If only 250 make it, then only 6 BYE's will be up for Grabs.
- You cannot acculumate any points in a Round where you are lucky enough to have a BYE.
ODD MAN BYE
- If this leaves an ODD number of players. An additional BYE is added........The ODD MAN BYE.
- Meaning the next highest player on the Scoreboard also gets a BYE.
- This BYE is not certain, if a player is KICKED, the ODD-MAN is brought back into compete in the Round.
TIE-BREAKERS:
1. Points
2. Who had most Points in the Previous Round, then in every Previous Round back to Rd 1.
3. Who finished fastest in the Previous Round.
4. Who finished fastest in the Previous Round before that.
***. Players on a BYE in the previous Round would lose a Tie-Breaker if it goes to Finish Times in Previous Rounds.
ROUND DRAWS:
To determine each players opponents in each Round, After the Players on a BYE have been removed, It will be a RANDOM DRAW between the 'Top Half' and 'Bottom Half' of the remaining players on the Leaderboard.
In Round 1, the Highest Ranks will be in the TOP HALF of the Scoreboard for Draw Purposes.
KNOCKOUT PHASE
- When there are only only 32 SURVIVORS remaining, points are DISCARDED and............we enter the KO PHASE of the Tourney!
- If we move to the KO phase with less than 32 Players, Current Points Tally will decide who gets a BYE in the Round of the LAST 32. For every 1 Player we are short of 32 Players, A Tournament Leader will get a BYE.
The matchups of the first KO and subsequent rounds are based on the Current Scores:
- the numbers 1 and 2 do not have to play against each other before the finals
- the top 4 do not have to play against each other before the semi-finals
- the top 8 do not have to play against each other before the quarter-finals
- the top 16 do not have to play against each other before the 2nd KO round

Round 6 REVIEW
I can honestly say, Round 6 was ABSOLUTE CARNAGE!
112 Players started the Round, The 2 Leaders safely made it in to Round 7 with a Bye. The other 110 Players took to the field of battle spread across 55 Match Ups. A HUGE 24 of those Match Ups led to a Player being ELIMINATED! That was 44% of all Match Ups leading to a Player heading for the Tournament Exit Door!
15 of those KO's were the 'TOP HALF' Player KO'ing a Player from the 'BOTTOM HALF' of the Scoreboard. 9 was the player from the 'BOTTOM HALF' of the Scoreboard USURPING a Player who probably thought they had a real chance of winning this Tournament! But alas, that was not to be!
Highest Rank to be ELIMINATED that Round was Frox333, who with a Pre-Tournament Rank of 2732 was the 10th Highest Ranked Player to enter the Tournament....

Frox333 was desperately unlucky here. It was a re-draw and he came up against the Guy who can count and Play RISK all at the same time, j1mathman. Not an ideal re-draw to say the least! Frox333 only got 1 start from the 3 Games. But it was a disaster, he failed to card in that one! He followed that up with failing to card in his 3rd turn also. A start like that, he was 1 down and had to come back in 1 of the other 2 Games where he started 2nd. He was unable to! So it's j1mathman who marches on into Round 7 and Frox333 who is left hopping mad.........................................
Players who was Flying High in the Tournament, but CRASHED and BURNED in Round 6 were Frox333 (see above), *Pixar* (won't be making any Movies about this Tournament) & Ulm. These Players were all on 6 Points at the start of Round 6. EVEN NOW, that points total would have been enough to see them comfortably in the TOP HALF of the Round 7 Draw. But alas, all 3 were on the wrong end of a WHITE WASH in Round 6 and are PUMPED OUT the Tourney!

So from 'The 300' who started this Tournament, we have only 88 Remaining! This is getting serious now because 1 of those 88 Players will pick up the HUGE 1st PRIZE of a YEARS PREMIUM on CC!
The 2 Players who have the best chance of winning that are the 2 Players sitting proudly at the top of the Leaderboard! And it's the SHOCK TROOPS who are leading the way! Neither of these Players were particularly fancied to take this Tournament Down. But, Yeti Discovered (126th Seed) & booger20 (105th Seed) are the only players who have made it to DOUBLE DIGITS so far! Both are the CLEAR LEADERS on 10 Points! With 88 Players still competing, it means 2 BYES for this Round. Both these Players progress safely into Round 8!
For the other 86 Survivors, we compete across 43 Match Ups. We need to get down to 32 Players before we progress to the KO Rounds so undoubtedly there are going to be a few more SURVIVOR ROUNDS after this one. The only Question is, who will live long enough to see them..........
'TOP HALF' Players are the Players who have amassed 6-9 Points, with the top 3 Players on 5 Points joining them.
'BOTTOM HALF' Players are those on 0-5 Points.

Gods dad undoubtedly entered this Tournament because of the HUGE Prize Pool. Keefie is a Warrior who plays ANY PLAYER, ANY MAP, SIMPLE SETTINGS just for the fun of competing. Gods dad is sitting 3rd on the Scoreboard on 9 Points. Keefie is struggling BIG TIME! in 6 Rounds of SURVIVOR SERIES RISK he has only managed to accunulate 3 Points. But pre-tournament these players had a COMBINED RANK of 5530 so Keefie has the skills required to send Gods dad to the rails here. Then again, could Gods dad be the player that puts Keefie out his misery? Only time will tell!
Other Ties to look out for are the 2 involving the Tournament Organisers. Each carries a bounty on their heads for the player who manages to eliminate them. Shoop76 (7 Points) and Craig25 (6 Points) are both in the TOP HALF of the Draw. But which BOTTOM HALF Player gets the opportunity to get their Tournament back on track and also pick up a cool 100 Counqer Credit Bounty:

Round 7 REVIEW
Well, Round 7 was the least Carnage we have had since the start of the Tournament!
From the Original 300 Players that started in the Tournament, only 88 lived long enough to start in Round 7!
The 2 Leaders from the 88 got a BYE safely into Round 8 (Yeti Discovered & booger20). 86 were left to fight it out over 43 Match Ups.
And from those Match Ups, only 10 of them led to an ELIMINATION! That is only 23% which is the lowest ELIMINATION RATE since the start of the Tournament! 8 of the KO's came from Players in the TOP HALF KO'ing players on a lower score. ONLY 2 of the 10 KO's were a player from the Bottom Half USURPING a Player who had already amassed enough points to put them in the TOP HALF of the Scoreboard. That demonstrates right there why you want to be closer to the Top of the Scoreboard than the bottom!
KO of the Round has to be.......
Lobstrosity Rank=2402 30th Seed 0 V 3 maui Rank=1732 177th Seed
at the start of Round 7 Lobtrosity had 9 Points which was only 1 Point behind the Leaders. He was coming into this Tie hoping for 2 Points and an Auto-Bye into Round 9 as a Tournament Leader. maui on the other hand was the ULTIMATE SURVIVOR! In 6 Rounds of SURVIVOR SERIES RISK he had not won a Match Up! He had managed to lose every single Round to date, but importantly, nobody could put him down by dealing him a DEATH BLOW of 3-0!
It looked good for Lobtrosity, he got 2 starts in the 3 Games. He should have been looking at picking up a point as a minimum with a potential KO on the cards. So where did it all go wrong for the Player who was hopeful of picking up the YEARS PREMIUM for 1st Prize????
-Game 1: Lobtrosity starts. Each of them Cards in the 1st 3 Rounds. It all favours Lobtrosity so far. But in Round 4 Lobtrosity opts to play a 3 Card Set and they are REDS. He OBV does not fancy the 22% of those 3 Card Reds turning into a 5 card RAINBOW. A Warning Sign that all was not well in Camp Lob! In that Round he took 3 Neutrals and 2 of Maui's. Plus Maui waited on getting 5 cards before cashing and only cashed Blues. But by that point, Maui was already in front and the cards cemented his victory from going 2nd.
-Game 2: Lobtrosity starts again! They both card in the 1st 5 Rounds with no cashes. Lobtrosity takes 9 Territories in those 5 Rounds, maui takes 11. Both cash RAINBOWS in Round 6 and Lobtrosity levels the Territory Gains by taking 4 in comparison to maui's 2. It just looks like this was a good old fashioned upset and maui was 2/3rds of the way to causing 1 ALL-MIGHTY SHOCK RESULT!
-Game 3: OMG, maui starts but Lobtrosity had a huge advantage early doors. It's not obvious in Round 1 but fast forward a couple of rounds and you will see what I mean. maui cards Rd 1 and Lobtrosity does not. Rd 2 Both card. Rd 3 maui fails to card and also strikes out in Round 4! Lobtrosity must have had victory in his sights in this one. But the dreaded 5 Card RED SET strikes him in Round 6 and that is all it took for maui to come back and sned one of the pre-tournament Favourites TO THE RAILS!
So maui picks up his 1st POINTS OF THE TOURNAMENT...............Lobtrosity was last saw heading to the Tournament EXIT DOORS mumbling something about the format of this Tournament being a Monstrosity..........

We have moved from 300 Runners down to ONLY 78!!!
1 BYE for every 40 Players means there is only 1 AUTO-BYE to hand out. And, the player LEADING THE TOURNAMENT is still the same as last Round! 4 Players sit at the top of the Leaderboard on 10 Points, but on the POINTS COUNT BACK TIE BREAKER, Yeti Discovered retains his POLE POSITION at the Top of the Scoreboard. He moves safely into Round 9!
It leaves 77 Players to fight it out. As 77 is clearly an ODD NUMBER. The Player sitting in 2nd gets the ODD-MAN BYE! And again on the POINTS COUNT BACK TIE BREAKER it goes to the Player who had the 2nd BYE last Round. So booger20 is also safely into Round 9! BYE's are mighty important at this stage in the Tournament, just look what ahppened to LOBTROSITY!
It leaves 76 Players to take to the field of battle once more, all hoping to take that extra step towards a HUGE 1st PRIZE of 1 YEAR PREMIUM! Check out the 'LIVE' Scoreboards to see who you are playing, but TIE OF THE ROUND has to be..........
Gods dad Rank=3210 2nd Seed 0 V 0 altoque Rank=2638 15th Seed
On 9 Points, Gods dad is only 1 point off the lead. So 2 Points here would probably put him in the lead and give him an AUTO-BYE in the next Round. With a pre-Tournament Rank of 3210 he was the 1nd highest ranked player to enter the Tournament so I personally hope he gets PUMPED.
altoque on the other hand, with a pre-tournament rank of 2638 was the 15th highest ranked Player to enter. But his high ranking has flattered to deceive! In 7 Rounds of SURVIVOR SERIES RISK he has only managed 3x 2-1 Wins and has been GUBBED 1-2 4 Times! So not the best for him, but clearly not the best for Gods dad either. This is a pretty big banana skin for him!
Other Ties of note are the 2 Tournament Organisers still battling. Each of them (Me and Shoop76) have a 100 Conquer Credit Bounty on their head. PUMP one of us out the Tournament and it's a RAGS to RICHES story. One minute you are a PAUPER with zero Conquer Credits, and the next minute KERCHING! your balance ROCKETS to 100 CONQUER CREDITS! Both are no mugs though and currently sit in the TOP HALF of the Scoreboard. The Players getting a SHOT at GLORY this Round are......

Well, we are fastly approaching the Business end to the Tournament. But, before we look too far ahead, let's see what happened in Round 9!
Round 9 Review:
From our original 300.........Round 9 started with only 63 Players!
The 105th Seed booger20 was leading the Tournament and safely advanced into Rd 10 with no fighting required. It left the others to fight it out over 31 Match Ups! And, it was another one of those Rounds that were ABSOLUTE CARNAGE!
Of the 31 Match Ups, 15 led to KO's!
48% of 31 Ties finished in a 3-0 Scoreline.............INCREDIBLE!
What's even more INCREDIBLE is where the KO's came from!
For the 1st time in the Tournament, the BOTTOM HALF Players KO'd more Players! That's right, 8 Players from the TOP HALF of the Scoreboard were KO'd!:

ROUND 10 Preview:
Alas, we have moved from 300 Players to the FINAL 48! The Business End of the Tournament starts when we enter the KO Rounds when only 32 Players are left standing!
Still 1 Bye to play for with over 40 Players still Standing. And it's a shocker where it is going! 200th Seed Pedrospb sits in GLORIOUS ISOLATION at the top of the Scoreboard. 12 Points and there is no Tie-Break required to confirm him as the player who progresses to Round 11 with no Fighting Required!
That leaves 47 Players, and Odd Number. So the ODD MAN BYE comes into play and it goes to one of the Players on 11 Points. There are 10 of them so it's decided on a TIE-BREAKER. And cortesy of the Points Count back going all the way back to Round 7..............booger20 beats 12th Seed Dusty21 to it! So, it's a double Bye for booger20 who is punching above his weight in this Tournament. He started as the 105th Seed and He is the 2nd Player into Round 11! On the other side of the coin, this is going to be very painful for Dusty21 if he does'nt make it there too!
That leaves 23 Match Ups to decide who joins them in the next Round and who is among the list of the DEAD who met their end in Round 10. Let's take a look at the Match Ups being billed as the biggest battles this Round:

Combined Ranking of 5648, shoop76 as one of the Tournament Organisers has a 100 Conquer Credit Bounty on his head for the player who manages to KO him. Shoop76 is on 11 Points, only 1 behind the leader so a KO form him would put him to the top of the Leaderboard. 15th Seed altoque will be stuck firmly in the bottom half of the Draw if he survives this. On 5 Points he is finding this Tournament tough going, but, he's a survivor. If he can go a few more rounds He's in the LAST 32 and when we get to that stage, anything can happen!
TheFlashPoint 1874 136th Seed 0 V 0 xroads 2047 92nd Seed
136th Seed versus 92nd Seed so 2 Dark Horses going at it to keep there Tournament Hopes alive. But, that does not tell the whole story of this Match Up. In 9 Rounds of Survivor Series RISK, xroads has only managed 3x 2-1 Victories, in the remaining 6 rounds he has been PUMPED 2-1 in all 6! On 3 Points he is bottom of the Leaderboard and is the Ultimate Survivor. Bad results all the way through but nobody can deal him the death blow of a 3-0. Is this the round where he comes good or will TheFlashPoint be the one who puts him out his misery??

The other TO with the bounty on his head. Is none other than me! From a shaky Tounrmanent start I've managed to claw my way up to joint 2nd on the Leaderboard. But i'm sure it's all going to turn to shit again. Playing the player whi started as the 85th Seed is not ideal. This promises to be a close Match Up!

ROUND 10 REVIEW:
Way way back, 300 Players started in this Tournament, all looking to take down a HUGE SCORE of a Year's Premium. By the start of Round 10, ONLY 48 were still standing. They fought it out over 23 Match Ups, of which, only 6 led to KO's!
And, NORMALITY has returned! After the SHOCK RESULTS of Round 9, where the BOTTOM HALF of the Scoreboard ELIMINATED most Players. 5 of the 6 KO's come from the top 50% of Players KO'ing the players who were languishing in the BOTTOM HALF of the Leaderboard.
The 1 TOP HALF Player to go was none other than 20th Seed SCtrojandentist. Ranked 2500+ at the start of the Tournament he must have fancied his chances, on 9 Points at the start of the Round, it was going great, but, alas, it was not to be.........
SCtrojandentist Rank=2535 20th Seed 0 V 3 iteachjava Rank=1610 218th Seed
Game 1: iteach got the nod but failed to card in the opening turn. SC took full advantage, taking a castle AND 1 of his opponents territories. In Rd2 Itach got a castle of his own, SC could only reply by taking a non-bonus territory from Iteach. It continued back and forth, both players got 4 card Raonbows. It looked like SC actually built himself up a lead in this game, but somewhere along the line, the wheels came off the bus. He looks to have been uot played in this one fair and square.
Game 2: Iteach started again, managed to card but immediately SC took 2 to his opponents 1. So it was game on for the player going 2nd. But, in the 2nd and 3rd turn it changed. Iteach was taking territories for fun while SC coulf only card. By round 4 Iteach's bonus's were way bigger than SC's. In Round 5 it went from bad to worse for SC, he failed to card too. And by that point, it was over. SC had to win in the 3rd or his dream was over......

Last 32 Review
It was the last Round of TOP versus BOTTOM from the Survival Rounds Scoreboard. And from the 16 Ties, there was a bit of a SHOCKER! The Player from the BOTTOM HALF won the Tie most of the time! Not just a few times, the BOTTOM HALF Player won 10 out of the 16 Match Ups!
In a FURTHER SHOCK.....ONLY 6 Higher Ranked Players won their Ties. That is very low for 16 Match Ups!
Getting back to some sort of NORMAL form. I checked the Exerience levels of All Players and the outcome of their Ties. And on this one, the more experienced player on Baltics (The Player who has had most games on the map), won 9 out of 16 Match Ups.
A bit of a topsy turvy Analysis there, but it demonstrates pretty much anything can happen now that we are into the KO's!

BALTICS SS: THE HOLY WAR
Well, we started on the 22nd Febuary with 300 Players............
2,403 Games later........
On the 8th September.....we have only 4 Baltic Warriors left standing!
Who were the Players who narrowly missed out? Here is the story of the QUARTERS:
vykingsfan64 181st Seed - What a Tournament run for the player who started the Tournament as only the 181st highest Ranked entrant. Scraped through the Survivor Rounds hovering around the middle of the Bottom half of the Scoreboard. In the KO rounds he made it 40% of the way towards winning the entire Tournament. Ko'ing the 61st and 156th Seeds GloriousL and hmsps. In the Quarters it was a tough draw versus the 15th Seed altoque and that was a step too far for the RISK player out of the USA. It was a fair fight, Vykings starting in 3/7 of the Games. The Games did not all go to the Starter, The player going 2nd Won Games, but alas it was a narrow 4-3 win for the 15th Seed and THE EXIT DOOR for Vykings!
booger20 105th Seed - booger20 also impressed in this Tournament. Made it through the Survivor Rounds in the TOP HALF of the Scoreboard. Took out the 85th and 176th Seeds Furio and Wombat4 in the KO's then came up against 'The Mouth' Clanlord Carl. Not a player you want to be up against with a YEARS PREMIUM on the line, but booger came into this on form after dispatching wombat 5-0 in the Previous Round. Another fair fight, Clanlord Carl got 4/7 starts so as close as it could be. But Carl was un-relenting, going on to win the Match Up 6-1. Carl in his after match Interview aluded to the PRE-MATCH Work he puts in before these big Match Ups, analysing his opponents performances and results in previous rounds. When asked how he thought his Match Up was going Carl said: 'Mr 5-0' from the last round booger utterly destroyed in epic style by the Clanlord. Looking like a 6-1 stomping. (The 1 to my shame being tragic dice failure). I wonder who i will have the honour of dispatching before the final ?'..............UNLUCKY booger20..........FIGHTING TALK from Clanlord Carl........
Wheelwright 13th Seed - One of the pre-Tournament FAVOURITES fell last round too. Canada's leading RISK Player Wheelwright had to face off against one of his BIGGEST FOES on CC - Gods dad. So to say this was a GRUDGE MATCH UP is understatement of the century! Another bottom Half Survivor Wheelwright took care of 113th and 54th Seeds marengo88 and kingming3 in the KO's. But in the Match Up that mattered it all came apart. Like the Baltic Crusades where a RELIGIOUS CRUSADE was used as a cover to loot and pillage through the non-Christian Baltics, this CC HOLY WAR also appears to be Religion based. So if anything else.....VERY APPROPRIATE for the QURTERS of the BALTIC CRUSADES SURVIVOR SERIES! Again it was fair on the starts, Wheelwright getting 4/7 and failing to card in 1 of them. In a closely contested Match Up it was the 2nd Seed Gods dad that came out the 4-3 Winner! It looks like the Match Up pivoted in game 23420736. It looked like Wheelwright was going to send Gods dad to meet his maker but the Match Up came down to 2 Attacks, in Wheelwrights after Match Up interview he lamented: 'I had a 34 attacking a 38 at Ragnit and an 18v18 at the island and both basically 50/50 shots failed miserably. Ragnit ended up 3 v19 and Island ended up 3 v maybe about 11...'. So, Wheelwright sent SPIRALLING out of the TOURNAMENT by his NEMESIS, the CONSTROVERSIAL Gods dad march's on!
TheFlashPoint 136th Seed - Another Player from the BOTTOM HALF of the Scoreboard went far. I say BOTTOM HALF but to be in that he had to OUT-LAST 268 of the finest RISK Players on CC! TOOK-OUT the 19th and 217th Seed in the KO's. bamage failed to do the damage for once and he also ended nickthesticks AMAZING run to the Quarters. Came up against the 80th Seed general cod who ain't no fish when it comes to RISK..............The Match Up is still going on but it's a clear cut Victory for GC, probably ending up 2-5. After coming so far, TFP looks to have got unlucky here only picking up 2/5 of the starts. But to be honest, players were winning games from going 2nd in this Match Up to games swung. TheFlashPoint is SENT TO THE RAILS, general cod heads to the SEMIS where he will be swimming with the SHARKS!................

As the Baltics Survivor Series is drawing to a close, A NEW TOURNAMENT is just about to be announced with a 6 MONTHS PREMIUM 1st PRIZE............BOOSTED to 1 Year's Premium if you currently or are registered to participate in the SSCSL (Super League). In Carls own words: 'A truly EPIC battle v altoque...he was winning four and all seemed lost but i dug deep and somehow avoided drinking the bitter draft of defeat....it felt completely lost....yet miracle after miracle happened in the 22 round decider. You simply dont expect to win if you are 5-2 down with castles. Hats off to Altoque a class act !', classy stuff from 'The Mouth'. Another close run thing. And again it started as fair as it could be. And again the player getting only 3 starts out of the 7 came back to win 4 of the games and put himself into the GRAND FINAL. That honour goes to Gods dad with the CONTROVERSIAL Username. Unlucky general cod, it took the 2nd HIGHEST RATED Player in a 300 entrant Tourney to Knock You out! You also need to pick yourself up to compete in the 3rd placed play off. 3 Month Premium are at stake and I have a funny feeling, that Trophy as the 4th placed finisher ain't going to be any consolation!

Carl actually has a slightly higher win rate down to his KO performances but the Bookies reckon consistency will be the key in this 9 game final. It is quite possible that Carl has also offered his opponent some additional inspiration. After his classy comments on his losing semi-finalist, he went on to analyse the other Semi which was under way, commenting: 'Just a matter of time before the final kicks off - will we see Gods dad getting crucified or General Cod getting battered (by clanlord carl) ?
