Here's the public restroom problem.
A person needs to use a toilet and is accidentally too far away from home.
Person looks like a woman, so you don't want them in the mens room.
Person has a penis, so you don't want them in the ladies room.
Building does not have a single toilet room. City is not SanFransico so they can't just legally go outside.
What's the Jim Boston solution?

I have a wife and daughters who use public restrooms… should they have to share these spaces with men?
What about women gyms or the “women only” areas of regular gyms?
I have daughters that compete in sports. Should they have to compete against biological men?
Was he taking a shit in the womens bathroom, drinking bud light?

Throwing a football? Anything sports related in the ad?
No? WELP! Sounds like a bunch of huff and puff for no reason.
For the record, the last statement they are banning Transgenders from women exclusive sports. It's catching on. That makes sense though.

2) I never said I don’t want a genetic man (who happens to dress like a woman) in men’s rooms.
I am concerned for the safety of women in their previously private/same sex spaces. There have been instances were people identifying as women have caused problems. I don’t this is a majority (or even a significant minority) of transpeople who do this… but it happens. To deny it is ignorance.
3) Sports is my biggest issue… restrooms/locker rooms number 3.
4) I honestly don’t care about longtime nearly-passable transwomen discreetly using women’s bathrooms. What I find offensive are…
- obvious men… like “transwomen” who are barely trans and more cross-dressers, who are big and hairy and not passable, who are loud and obnoxious, who are pre-surgery and still have dicks… when these people use women’s restrooms and make a fuss and are loud and make eye contact and try to agitate if some woman happens to look at them funny or questioning.
- or when these types of people expect respect but refuse to give it… and won’t like back-off or chill if some woman is uncomfortable with them. They are invading women’s only spaces… so like if you wanna use a bathroom and some woman says “Could you please wait till my daughter and I are done?”. I think it’s reasonable for that man (dressed as a woman) to back off for 10 minutes and wait. I don’t think it’s reasonable for that MAN to demand everyone else to acknowledge that HE is a woman.

Indirectly… Bud Light is validating the idea that this MAN IS A WOMAN. That validation is NOT a perceived cultural change… ot is an actual exampl of an attempt to change the culture… and push back on this idea by Bud Light drinkers is a counter-reaction to that agenda.
That have banned some sports at the highest levels… like International Track and Field did this recently.
In the USA, in some states, there is a counter-reaction to that where they are specifically doing the opposite. One school in VT got banned from their league because they didn’t want their girls team (Basketball I think) to play a team with a boy on it. The swimmer at Princeton still holds all HIS women’s titles! Ditto for some runners in CT… those boys still hold the girl’s records.

Okay, so what's the harm in acknowledging someones transition?
Don't get me wrong, I'm on the boat of believing what you are is what you are, but I don't really give too much of a shit to really argue about it, and it doesn't really bother me personally anyways.

The problem is that the extreme woke trans agenda now includes them demanding that we acknowledge and agree with statements like “Transwomen are Women”. They aren’t. Acknowledging this false reality opens the door for them to push other ‘ more extreme parts of their agenda. Things like…*“gender affirming care” for minors
*trans-girls/women (i.e. men) competing in women’s divisions athletics
*”drag queen” granny shows for kids
*trnswomen (i.e. men) with violent histories demanding they be imprisoned in women’s jails
*transwomen in jails demanding the public pay for their “gender affirming care”
*etc.

JFC!
You would force Caitlyn Jenner and other trans women to use men's rooms with a much higher likelihood of sexual assault?
So you think people are committing to years-long processes of sexual conversion to sneak a peek?
Forcing trans women to use their no longer relevant born sex for public facilities exposes them to dangers and your wife and daughter wouldn't even notice if they were using their facilities.

You really buy into the social memes of the Right! I would (generally) ask people to use the bathroom of their sex. Not the sex they were “assigned” not the sex they “identify as” just their sex as defined by their genetic and biological make up.GaryDenton wrote:

This protects WOMEN in their private spaces.
Why do you put the protection of transpeople over the protection of women?
Apparently you missed the part were I answered this.GaryDenton wrote:

I’m not so bothered by the people who have fully transitioned and are generally passable and have gone through this process for years.
I am annoyed with the clearly identifiable men who haven’t fully transitioned.
If they are fully transitioned passable then yeah… no one would notice, no big deal.GaryDenton wrote:

Why is it “forcing” someone to use the bathroom of their biological sex?
Why do trans-rights trump women’s rights?

Its being shamed now to drink just because a transgenders promoted it.
That's the point, no it isn't. It's being shamed because Mulvaney promoted it, clashing with decades of prior messaging.

I'm being serious when i ask this; How does this hurt you, individually? Do you lose sleep over this? I mean really. THIS is the final straw? A promotional for av beer?
I don't drink Bud, unless the situation calls for drinking Bud. My sole interest in looking it up is seeking AmBev stock so low and then in seeing what they've done. If end spots are hanging up on them, then it's more serious. Otherwise it would be a stock buying opportunity. It's also the topic subject. I'm assuming the OP meant AmBev instead of Bud Light which is not its own company, but it's a question I have as well. Just like when estimates from the BP oil spill were coming out as topping at $20B and $65B had been shaved off market valuation....oversold...buy buy buy. Management fucked up on this one big time. It might be the final straw for Ambev. Augustus IV only succeeded in canabalizing into more SKUs. These new whiz kids are alienating that.
As far as transjenders in general, I couldn't care less either way. I got a 100 problems and that isn't one of them. However, if I take a construction crew that's working on a project for me out for Friday beers, Bud is now the less safe bet over Miller or Coors. I don't know my other party. I could care less their religion, political affiliations...even if they beat their wife or cheat on their taxes. I just want to give a comfortable thank you and have it ready for the group that is accepted as, yes, this is a solid, but not so far as to make people uncomfortable.
It's a concept I like to call, real inclusion.

Re: Could Bud Light Go Out of Business due to Woke Agenda
its Inbev, not Ambev. Really it's AB Inbev now, but most industry people still just refer to it as Inbev.
This whole thing is so stupid. There was no marketing campaign across national broadcast media by any trans people for bud light. This was a basic influencer marketing deal where someone with some followers on instagram (whos follower choose to follow/be influenced by that specific in this case trans person) made a short 1 min video drinking beer that had been specialy made to feature their face on the can.
Unless you already knew who this was and specifically followed them you would have never even know this ad existed if it wasn't for 'the anti-woke mob' trying to cancel their own drink of choice. This wasn't a superbowl ad seen by a large share of american families, if it wasn't for the backlash this video promoting a beer that happens to feature a trans person would have been seen by like 5000 people all of whom chose to be influenced by this specific person. How you regards got from that to 'it's an attack on womens bathrooms' is only through your own regardation.

Re: Could Bud Light Go Out of Business due to Woke Agenda
I mean if you people don’t want to acknowledge the Trans Agenda has gone too far… that’s fine.
They started out just wanting to use bathrooms. Now…
*They demand you use their “proper” pronouns or you are evil.
*They demand you don’t use their “dead names” or you are evil.
*They demand Hollywood only cast trans-actors in trans-roles.
(Yet they also believe transpeople can play non-trans-roles?)
*They want to be housed in women’s prisons… even if they are not fully transitioned and even if they are convicted of violent sexual crimes.
*They want to use women’s locker rooms and women’s only gyms… even if they are not fully transitioned. So yeah.. your high school daughter may have to watch some dude walk out of the shower naked with his dick swinging around… but you can’t “he has a dick” you have to say “she has a dick”.
*They demand you acknowledge the statement “A transwoman IS a woman.”
*They demand you acknowledge “facts” like… “yes a man can get pregnant”.
(i.e. a biological woman who identifies as a man… )
*They demand inclusion in female athletic competitions.
*They demand “gender affirming care” for minor children.
(i.e.they want your 16yo kid to be allowed to get his dick cut off without parental consent…. but that same 16yo can;t get a tattoo?)
What will they demand next?
I am trying to be nuanced and say… I accept trans people as humans who have every right to do what they want to their own bodies and live their own lives and be happy. Yet I believe there “rights” end when they interfere with the rights of other people.

Mookie,
I think you're missing the point. Of course the beer thing is silly. Other companies have gone much farther in embracing sexual expression or whatnot. The issue is that the trans issues have gone way beyond what is reasonable. If a man were to walk into a girls locker room and drop his pants, he would go to jail and have to register permanently as a sexual predator. If he did the exact same thing but said "I identify as a female" before doing so, not only would he not get in trouble, but any women that complained would be denigrated as transphobes. Objecting against these kinds of absurdities in public is a good way to get a target on your back.
Dylan Mulvaney is an insulting caricature of a woman. Dylan goes way over the top with the girly stereotypes. Someone used the term "woman face," and I think it is apt in this situation (unlike in a case such as Caitlin Jenner, who never amped up the stereotypes to the point of mockery). Dylan's actions bear a strong resemblance to the black face minstrel shows of last century.
But who cares what Dylan actually drinks? You are fully correct that drinking Bud Light doesn't make anyone queer or trans, and the fact that a can exists with Dylan's face on it has no bearing on anyone else's well-being or sexuality. But that's not the point. The point is that there is a pent-up frustration with the absurdity of where the culture has gone and a feeling that any attempt to call out that absurdity will result in severe consequences. AB's actions here to celebrate and promote Dylan Mulvaney offered a very easy outlet for the frustration the general public is feeling. If this had happened 3 years ago, I suspect it would have been completely ignored. Bud Light is (in economics terms) an inferior good. It's cheap and easily replaced. There are comparable products on the market, and the only thing keeping people drinking Bud Light was force of habit. Tap into the frustration people are already feeling, and it's easy to get them to change their habits in a case like this. The same could not be said for previous boycott efforts focused on things like Disney World, since there was nothing directly comparable and people would actually make a sacrifice to actively avoid Disney.
I say all this as someone who brews my own beer and only really spends money on craft beer anyway. I haven't had a Bud Light in the last 15 years at least.
