These maps were excluded from the tournament for two very good reasons.
One, they are complex and give an advantage to expert players, destroying the "everyman has a chance" democratic nature of this tournament.
Two, they greatly increase the time needed to play, changing the tournament from being fun to being a chore.
I think allowing the giant maps back in completely undercuts the original intent of this tournament.
I don't think I will go to the extreme of resigning, as many others have, but my delight and enthusiasm for this tournament has definitely been undermined.

Thanks for considering joining The original TO was making it about something else, and we are glad its being shifted to be focussed on our friend who passed on and played everything, and never turned down a game due to map, settings, or type!

Just for the records, my map in Super League Three Kingdom of Korea was added to the banned list because I had few matchs were the games went beyond it. That is a rule a fully support and I changed my home map to something that may end quicker
This event is not meant to play with the the fastest pace ever, just for players to play, the whole tournament is 20 rounds limited.
We can tweak the random map and play the 3rd game on Classic? This would give no chance for a player to end up playing a big complex map twice (opponent and random choice)

can i remind you clowns of this?
the only reason all the maps were banned was because of craig, who was never meant to be involved with this tournament in the first place. he imposed himself on it.
nobody is forcing you to sign up. you dont go around posting in every tournament asking them to change the setup to suit you.
even mods posting in here about it. pathetic lmao. especially shoop. would expect better.

Not sure why you are calling me out in particular, Caff. So now I cannot voice my opinion. Honestly people thought they were signing up for 1 thing and now that is being changed, without even being hardly communicated. Personally, there are a lot of maps I hate. Having to play them sucks the joy out of cc. This whole drama seems totally unnecessary, certainly not what this tournament should be about.

I still stick to my guns, if I had the time to be running this one, it would definitely include a random map, just my two cents

Just to remind everyone - I offered to set up the Tournament because CK had given up all other commitments and CC but loved to play in Tournaments set up right until his death. The fun aspects through commentary brought him some light relief when he had so much shit to deal with elsewhere. So the Tournament was designed specifically with a format that CK would have loved to have played in. A FUN event. The changes made are HORRIBLE, turning it into something closer to a CC Tournament. Which as we all know, kinda suck!
1. I offered a Memorial Tourney to Pconnolly365, and his other friends agreed.
2. I set up the Tournament. But also had to take weeks compiling a Memorial Intro from his freinds. I posted it in Paul's name.
3. The changes being made to the Tourament are horrendous for making it a fun Tournament.
Rounds lasting forever, No fun commentary, No Survivor/KO Rounds, instead a fixed Round limit, trust me, this Tournament should be a MILLION times better than it will be. It is heart breaking to watch.
Anyway Guys, I had ro respond to a Guy spouting shite, apologies for that.
I would love to make this Tourney Great Again! It sucks that I have been removed by the person who was spreading totally un-true allegations against me, damaging my reputation by doing so! It's all a bit shit for all concerned really.shoop76 wrote:iAmCaffeine wrote:Swimmerdude99 wrote:This tournament is a memorial for a player who played everything and never shied away.
