Wait... there are no longer banned maps? These maps were banned for a reason. I would like to withdraw from this tournament given this significant change to the rules.

Yes me too. I'm out for the same reason which is a shame.

Some maps are very complex and give a massive advantage to the better players who know them well. They also take a lot longer to play. Which was why the average move chart was introduced, again a fair and good idea.

But then I suppose the better players need an advantage don't they...........

Interesting that the change was made without consultation or any discussion what-so-ever. Under new management it seems.

I think I am going to withdraw from this tournament as well at the moment as it is supposedly in ongoing but the rules are changing and there is no clear indication of who is in the tournament or not. The way it was set up originally looked fun. I'll have another look once the rules are clear.

Not that I think anyone wants to go this route, but you honestly might need a mass PM to the players of Super League because I think most of us are under the impression that we are automatically included in this tournament. The rules, with the exception of the banned maps, are the same as were sent to us all privately when we were enrolled in this tournament.

I wonā€™t start another conversation and about any mass PM stuff. I replied to you in the previous post.

If anyone not registered in this thread has any question, they can ask or come here and sign in. Those who posted here were contacted about the changes and free to them to stay or not, no one is obligated to play.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Mad

Super League players were told they were automatically signed up for this tournament. I don't think most of them realise they are expected to sign up here as well unless they wanted to change their map choice. Also, it's not clear that there are no restricted maps, unless they read the whole of this topic or happen to notice the edit to the tournament details.

Miss Scarlet, while I understand their question, this tournament to be handle the same way as many other tournament. It has been open for sign in, we also decided to make an announcement (announcement menu on the left).

As each tournament, the setup is written in the OP, one single PM was recently sent to all member who signed here and to advise about the upcoming setup change from what was advertise at first, it is up to them to come and check.

Each registrant have been advised and so they have now the ability to stay or withdraw.

As far the Super League current roster, it is on them to check new open tournament. I understand they were told differently.

Now, since you posted here, and not seeing you recorded on the roster, let me know if you want to participate. The fact that the OP doesnā€™t specify about home Map, means player can choose what she/he wants.

Cheers

I'm in CC, and if an entry is needed here, please take this as such.

NYC, Fog, Sequential, Standard.

And for what it's worth thanks for organizing, hopefully, most people are chill enough to appreciate the effort and not get too worked up about any logistical hiccups on this massive volunteer-led endeavor.
