Agreed, condolences to Josh's friends and family. Always enjoyed playing him here, and reading these tributes from those who knew him well, it's clear what a wonderful guy he was.

My condlences to Josh and his family. One of my biggest rivals on CC, we played 135 games in opposote teams and then he offered to help me march to conqueror so our last two games were enjoyable in the same team.

Your character will be missed on CC and even more in real life.

Oh wow, I am so sorry to hear this.
Played against him a few times, a very good opponent and always incredibly nice.

RIP. My condolences to his family and friends.

Josh was a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed. His friends and family are in my heart and thoughts.

Sometimes being a moderator can be a thankless job, but Josh said something to me not long ago that really touched my heart:
CaronylKluster wrote:I am truly impressed with your ability to pickup and run with these things. You seem to have a way of settling things down when there is chaos everywhere.
You are one of the best on this site. Keep being you!

I think this statement can easily be turned around to be about Josh; he was a genuinely kind and loving person, something there is far too few of in this world.

When Josh passed, he was at 2500. Once all of his games are done, I'm going to make a couple speeders vs me to get him back to 2500 and then tie a ribbon on it... I'm winning only 33 percent of the games I'm covering for him now. Just broadcasting it so now one gives me crap in a month when I do it.

You know I never asked him what his name meant. Anybody know? Some joke on Carbonyl Cluster that I don't get?

Hopefully it won't be necessary! I meant only winning 33%, and some of those games are turning around (editing my old post).

Straight from him:

Funny tidbit - it was supposed to be Carbonylkluster which is an organic chemistry term, but I missed the "b" when I typed it out, and so I became Caronylkluster since I didn't know how to change it.

I've played dozens of games with Caronylkluster, but don't feel like I knew him at all now. He was always friendly and positive in game chat and I regret not making the effort to get to know him better. This moving tribute has given me a glimpse at what I missed. There is an Irish adage that I now understand that I think he always knew.

‘Tis better to buy a small bouquet
And give to your friend this very day,
Than a bushel of roses white and red,
To lay on his coffin after he’s dead.

Thanks for the offer but I have been advised against it. Sets a bad precedent.
And let's not discuss it further on this tribute thread to Josh. I should not of posted it in the first place.
