the dwindling numbers absolutely have nothing to do with the way CC staff & Volunteers (members who represent the company) talks too & treats members... they are professional & take their jobs seriously...

They've done a good enough job that you keep sticking around.

i see teegee you are posting game start numbers . how many of those games are quality games meaning all show up and play.
i looked in to yesterdays speed games most of the 6 player classic opened never even filled . the games that do over half have deadbeats or players not taking a turn . the vast majority of speed games are all 1 v 1 or multi player baltic crusade.
the quality of play has dropped huge. no real time action . dubs trips quads have died completely in real time as have most 6 player and up games. we have 5400 members most of whom cant play real time as the 4 games are restricted to dulls ville or 24hour games
site must include these 4 games to include speed game s and sooner then later . it helps fill games it gets new players in the action now a must to retain them . yesterday i seen it first hand a newbie logs on joined 2 games went second in both 3 mins later gone and not returned . this is the norm for many new players joining . eliminate the newbies from random map is another step needed . many open that setting only to open a complicated map like city mogal or hive ect .not having a clue on how to play .
new blood is vital and currently cc club cant maintain them nor will they under current conditions . leave it alone hope for the best isnt working , with 1200 playing 20 games plus in jan tells us its going to drop as summer months approach .to put it simple all 5400 members current are needed in every section the site offers ,

CC has been declining for more than 10 years. That's not news. What is new is that the decline has slowed down a lot. The year-over-year drop between Dec 18 and Dec 19 is miniscule, as opposed to the HUGE drops we had in some previous years.
In 2015 we lost something like 20% of the membership in one year (actually worse than one year, most of the drop happening in 8 months or so.)
The decline is continuing, obviously, but it is a very very slow leak now. They years from about 2011 to about 2015 were where the biggest crash happened. Then things leveled off during '16 and '17, and then there was another big crash in '18.

PANIC STATIONS
If we look at the same figures on landgrab they have been sitting on your 2025 predicted numbers for years.. There is a point where site stats will level off.
CC will never be what it was in 2009 because, well facebook, smartphones, technology in general. But there will always be a core base.
Grandfather's will show their grandkids, all might try, 1 or 2 might stick around.
Some people play only in winter, others only on weekends
Wham didn't buy CC to make millions, he brought it because he loves the game and the site
Saying the site will die is utter crap and fear mongering. It will likely get smaller in userbase terms, but will always exist.
jleonnn wrote:I've been on and off the site since 2017 I think and every time the number of active players would be the first thing I'd check. Just curious, what's this whole qualified player thing about? I think unless there's some revival, CC will continue to decline. The biggest thing about CC for most of us I think has always been the community. People come and go, but most have simply gone. Would be interesting to see the number of people who have participated in this thread who have left themselves. I come back once in a while to enjoy a good game, maybe for the nostalgia but it's really not the same anymore.
I'd just like to point out also that even though the small user base is kinda depressing, a nice small community is formed, so that's something to be grateful for. Doesn't seem to have a lot of the problems other modern multiplayer games face what with the influx of annoying kids and their mods.
