ok, as most of you are aware, recent happenings in OT have ruffled more than a few peoples' feathers around here, with some members of team CC resigning their positions in protest. while i think we can all agree that the loss of Mad & IP was a pretty big blow for the site as a whole, we must respect their decisions and try to move this place forward as best we can. whilst Mad has made a peaceful transition to CC "civilian life", IP has not - in fact, he's pretty much done the exact opposite. i must confess that i watched his meltdown with a mild amusement, but that all changed today when i went looking for the clan rankings. apparently, instead of merely abdicating his position of Clan Director he has taken down all his posts relating to that area of the forum in some sort of butthurt induced rage, claiming they are his "intellectual property" or some such nonsense. what in the actual f*ck??? i mean, it was one thing to take take potshots at duk & TeeGee and to post the dwindling # of users in the "CC is declining" thread, but to delete and deny access to all his old posts is tantamount to industrial sabotage, imo. why isn't he already guested for this type of behaviour?
makes no sense to me why BW & KA are allowing someone who is actively trying to destroy this place still be a part of it...*shrugs*

Do you actually know the situation with the ranking system or are you just speculating? Regardless, if I'd invested so much time into this site as he has I'd be furious too. I'd be surprised if any other moderator in the history of CC has done more than Ice.

Also, the reasons for both IP and Mad stepping down aren't as simple as disagreeing with the trash can and how it was handled by certain moderators. It's also how they were both treated by other moderators behind the scenes for showing their disgust with the sub-forum and those who defended the racism. I have to be careful what I say though, I got a warning off Raz for calling TeeGee racist. The warning made it very clear that Raz is good friends and countrymen with TeeGee, which seemed to have a lot more to do with the penalty rather than what I'd actually said, especially since TeeGee himself never responded to any of the comments.

I've heard some pretty wild stories from european tourists in australia... buses and shit where people made some unacceptable public shamings for speaking in other languages. But I guess that's not in the big cities.

during any regime change, there is usually some sort of "handover" meeting or meetings - going over the troublesome bits of the day to day running of things, no? doesn't sound like this has happened in the Clan dept. does it? it's one thing to say "f*ck it, i've had enough of this shit", but to chuck a wrench into the gearbox on your way out the door is a bit of a dick move, imo.
