no gold or item drops from monsters

Hello all,

I started playing this game today and i found out that there are alot of build-in quests that make you lvl 100 in no time, but when i do those quests i figured out that there are no other drops than quest item drops, i don't find any items or gold, just quest objects like feathers and bird claws.

since the lak of english people i hoped you guys could help me out!

Must be playing Age Of Merchants map. He got the Rum and Tequila resource pair. :o
