MountainLion · Post by **MountainLion** » Sun Jun 10, 2007 12:37 pm

At first I thought the players in my division were my teammates, but that's not the case is it?

No, I believe you play each other and the champions of each division fight the other guys.

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Sun Jun 10, 2007 3:49 pm

That's correct. The top three players from each division will advance to play the top three players from another division in the second round. The divisions are mostly just a fun way to divide everyone up and see which character will rule Middle Earth in the end.

Could you put a rule in there that people lose 1 point for every turn deadbeat?

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Mon Jun 11, 2007 8:01 am

I had thought about that, but it would be far too difficult for me to enforce. I am hoping we will not have too much trouble with dead-beating. If they deadbeat they won't get any points anyways.

There are still several players who have yet to join their games. PLEASE DO SO SOON! We are waiting to begin the games.

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Tue Jun 12, 2007 9:29 am

We have had a couple of replacement players added, so welcome to all of them. I have resolved the issues with the people that accidentally joined games without meaning to, so that should be fine from now on.

I know that the tournament is started but let me know if you need someone during it.

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Wed Jun 13, 2007 1:06 pm

I'll put you on my list as a reserve. Thanks.

First Round:

507705

I don't know how this scoring went...we only have 5 people, not 6. But here's the order:

1st: luckywar
2nd: ciancama
3rd: Ucross
4th: tabsnake
5th: dragon dor

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Fri Jun 15, 2007 4:17 pm

I'll worry about the scores, it just means that there is no sixth place to get 0 points is all. Thanks for that post, it is exactly what I need when a game finishes.

MountainLion · Post by **MountainLion** » Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:46 pm

Do the rankings go by order of who was taken out first to last (winner)?

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:52 pm

I would prefer it if the winner was listed first and then the rest in order down the list.

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Sun Jun 17, 2007 6:58 pm

The standings have been updated to include all three games that have been completed. Keep up the good work folks.

rspatel · Post by **rspatel** » Sun Jun 17, 2007 9:14 pm

1st - Forthworthian
2nd - rspatel
3rd - The Yeti
4th - dfp2dep
5th - jnd94
6th - Msar

Great game, Forthworthian! Two wins in the round thus far!

First Round:

507706

1st: luckywar
2nd: ciancama
3rd: dragon dor
4th: Ucross
5th: tabsnake

I may have done well so far, but ciancama is on my heels in both games, and the next 2 games....well, I'm getting taken out by these great players. Good job to my fellow Elves, who I wish were my teammates.

rspatel · Post by **rspatel** » Mon Jun 18, 2007 3:37 pm

OP - I am sure you are SWAMPED with the # of games going on, finishing, starting, etc. We need two more games for my cohort for this round.

Thanks!

Optimus Prime · Post by **Optimus Prime** » Mon Jun 18, 2007 4:16 pm

Alright, the standings have been updated as of completed games at 2:00 my time this afternoon. I have sent PMs to players with their new game numbers and passwords.

Please do not forget to post the order of elimination at the end of your games. It saves me a TON of time.

Alright everyone, keep posting completed games. Due to an apartment move and traveling to San Diego tomorrow I will not be updating the standings or creating new games until most likely late tomorrow evening. I hope everyone understands and it won't cause any problems.
