The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible location
Concise description:
For anyone with a high resolution screen, the "RULES" link is so small and so far to the side it's almost impossible to see unless you're actively looking for it. For new players like myself, we will most likely miss it entirely before registering and starting a few games. I attempted to negotiate privately with another player in one of my games, but I was lucky enough for him to point out that our discussions need to be public, prompting me to go in search of the official Rules location.
With consequences like, Conquer Club reserves the right to suspend accounts and cancel Premium Memberships, with or without warning, of those players who are deemed to have violated the rules. it should be centered or left justified on the page somewhere to avoid confusion.
Specifics/Details:
Next to the "COMMUNITY" button up top where the text size is largest seems like the most convenient and noticeable spot.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
This will help new players avoid accidentally breaking rules they didn't know exist.

Put the font in colored bold and make it pulsate..
Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
slap it over "forum games". so sick of the latest post in off topics being the newest instalment in "3 word story"...
seriously, f*ck off w/that shit.

Maybe if you'd contribute, it would get better.riskllama wrote:slap it over "forum games". so sick of the latest post in off topics being the newest instalment in "3 word story"...![]()

llama's pretty niggardly with his posts in Forum Games. Someone should tell him to lighten up a bit.
Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
I actually actively looked for it. I could not find it for quite a while. Why is it hidden?
Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
I wonder if OP is trying to build a multi-defense.
I'm pretty sure when you start an account they send you the rules and it's all over the first page when you go to start an account*. Like, there's only 2 of them, it hardly needs a seizure-inducing strobe effect.
*Turns out this is no longer true. This would be the better suggestion, return the rules to the Register Now screen.

Hidden is a bit of an overstatement. It's at the top of the page.2dimes wrote:I actually actively looked for it. I could not find it for quite a while. Why is it hidden?
I think BW was just prioritizing the menus based on frequency of use. "Forum", "Help", and "Rules" were rarely-used areas so they were de-emphasized. They're still there if you actually need them.

why? one stupid game is about all i can handle around here, as far as i can tell, it's just you and (mostly)vegetable lasagne keeping 99% of them on life support. meh.Dukasaur wrote:Maybe if you'd contribute, it would get better.riskllama wrote:slap it over "forum games". so sick of the latest post in off topics being the newest instalment in "3 word story"...![]()

llamsagna can contribute by calling off his mangy tranny-pegger ''gf''. Threads, games, you name it, ''she'' wrecks it.riskllama wrote:why? one stupid game is about all i can handle around here, as far as i can tell, it's just you and (mostly)vegetable lasagne keeping 99% of them on life support. meh.Dukasaur wrote:Maybe if you'd contribute, it would get better.riskllama wrote:slap it over "forum games". so sick of the latest post in off topics being the newest instalment in "3 word story"...![]()

Indeed, I checked my all received emails from CC after I found the page to see if maybe I just missed it, but there was no mention. I also don't remember seeing it on the Post-Registration page but I could be wrong. I submitted this suggestion to defend myself and to point out that the current location is far from an ideal location. Eye tracking studies show that the far right and the very bottom of the page (especially anything below the fold) are the least observed areas of the page by far and UI designers usually put unimportant links/information there.DoomYoshi wrote:I wonder if OP is trying to build a multi-defense.

It doesn't need to be flashy, bold, or anything special. Just relocating it to the navigation panel on the left, or the navigation bar at the center-top would make a huge difference.

Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
Maybe we could replace Global Chat with a big link down the side of the screen.
Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
If you're using a phone they don't even appear. Only place you can find a link to the rules is to scroll to the bottom of the page, next to the privacy policy and terms of use.

think the word 'anything' would go on the end of this sentence just fine.Keefie wrote:Maybe we could replace Global Chat with

The rules, help etc actually don't show up at all on mobile even when you know it's there unless you've memorized / booked marked the URL in case you ever needed it...

Maybe whamBot could arbitrarily provide links in Global Chat to the Rules and other pages.

Re: The "RULES" link should be moved to a more visible locat
I'm on mobile right now and it's not there. Unless I'm on the wrong page is it on one of the splash pages? Does it cover sitting rules?Mad777 wrote:Yes it does but it's located all the way at the bottom left...hard to find but it's thereIcePack wrote:The rules, help etc actually don't show up at all on mobile even when you know it's there unless you've memorized / booked marked the URL in case you ever needed it...
