I know it's the hammer but unless Samlen has anything else to try and defend himself with aside from his claim, it feels like delaying the inevitable at this point.
I agree with Fircoal here.... if you are positive someone is town, you should never vote them, except in very exceptional circumstances... the game wasn't dead enough to vote just for the sake of voting. Sounds to me like you are putting the in hammer but setting up the "I knew he wasn't scum" argument when he flips town... FOS DDSFircoal wrote:We still have a week. And if you were positive he is town why would you ever vote for him except for in the most pressing of circumstances?

I'd consider this a pressing circumstance. How many posts are we getting on Lion King a day? About 2 with any sort of substance? The game is full of crickets, I'd rather try to advance the game now, rather than convince the Mandy Hype Train that lynching Sam would get us no where. Essentially I'm killing two birds with one stone.HotShot53 wrote:There isn't one at the moment that I know of. Looks like Sam is at L-1. I agree that Skoffin not voting day one is unusual, however the premise that (as Scar) Skoffin would not be able to cast votes until the death of another player would be more unusual. This limitation would force the (presumably) most powerful, and likely most important scum role to play incredibly passively and makes it highly likely that they are found out by the end of the second day unless the death of Mufasa was a predetermined scripted event (which I suppose would explain the trigger-happiness of the vig play if they were informed of their pending doom beforehand), but this raises the question of what happened to the scum kill during night one?mandalorian2298 wrote:Lol. But, before I go on any further, in the spirit of how completely busted you are, I am also prepared to unvote you if you find me another normal (RTs and joke games don't count) whery you have been active during Day 1 without voting once (and without PR, naturally).
So, firstly the no vote during day one thing. Everyone votes at least once during Day 1. Even guys like Sam and DDS, who have spent the rest of their day preaching the Gospel of No Lynch, voted. The only two reasons for not voting on Day 1 are 1) you can't and 2) this is your first encouter with the world of Mafia and you don't know how to vote.
Is this your first game Skoff? No? Then I'll move on.
I watched Lion King a nerdy number of times and, thematically, it would only make sense for 2 characters not to have a vote diring Day 1/before Mufasa's death (since these two events concided, we can't know for sure which one triggered the return of your voting ability). One of them is Scar and the other isn't important unless you claim.
Scar being mute while Mufasa is alive would make perfect sense. Until then, he literaly has no vote in how the things are run. After he kills Mufasa (in the movie), he seizes control over the pride and it would no longer make sense for him to be Mute. QED
Scar being Mute wouldn't necessarily make him unable to NK. Going back to theme, Scar's was able to kill before Mufasa's death, for example Mufasa.Pikanchion wrote:I agree that Skoffin not voting day one is unusual, however the premise that (as Scar) Skoffin would not be able to cast votes until the death of another player would be more unusual. Samlen was innocent unfortunately but that's no reason to give up on the other two. DDS has been far more active and I'm not terribly suspicious of him, but DJ does look like is trying to coast through the game. I don't necessarily agree with Flores by voting him just for that, but I will
Vote DJ for that AND from the line of reasoning from Day 2.
Your entire theory is hinged on the silly position that the head of the Mafia can't vote until Mufasa dies. Here are the issues:mandalorian2298 wrote:Lol. Not so hairbrained this time.
