It will be hard for TOP.

TOFU should take 2 points from them as long as they hold on to the leads in the last 2 games. They also look like they will 1 point to FALL in their home match.

Same with LHDD, they look to loose 1 point in their home match to OSA.

S&M looks heavily favored in at least 5 games in both home & away sets.

One thing I have noticed is many clans are loosing their home matches, but winning the away ones. Very odd. I attribute it to using all their usual maps early on and now cant use them again.

We've had that home / away issue for awhile and been trying to figure out why.

Yes, IP you have - I was 4-4 in my home games in CC6 against you, and I think I lost only 1 away game.

Xroads, we would need a lot of luck to win 4 in your home set, although I suppose its possible. I think we have a path to four wins in our home set, but its not that easy either way.

there are no more home games, what map can you play and say you will always win
every clan has at least one who can play well map you pick
and it's rather more about the team not about the map

There are no maps any of us would always win against the worst player on this game. There are maps where we would win 999x out of 1000 against the worst player on this game. Clan players are all much better than the worst player so those percentages go down significantly, however there are players or teams in each clan that have maps where they will win more than 50% against anyone so I think home games do exist, they just aren't guaranteed wins.

more than 50% really does not cut it, it would need to be above 80%
but if you give me a map I can make a tournament to test your claim

I posted the lost of interest that RET developed over time about the clan league Premiership a couple of weeks ago. I think this table explains quite well where it comes from - just look at the difference in points between the last few clans and the top clans.

I mean, haven't the top clans always been quite a lot stronger than most of the rest? THOTA were "unbeatable", then KoRT and TOFU, etc. If anything, I'd say we have a lot more parity at the top than we used to have. No one clan is dominant.

I can make this argument too
in 2013 we have beaten LHDD 27-14
in 2016 we lost to them 23-20

it's simple, you have to make an effort and rise
where is your fighting spirit?

ofcs it's not
top clans will get better players easier
but why should it be easy?
work hard and it will pay out

It may not be "that simple", but a group of guys from the 25th ranked clan decided they wanted to rise to the top. (Back then there was high 40's # of clans so we were below avg) and started FALL. We got there.

A year or two ago, our group nearly won this event when I was focused and had plenty of time. This year I've been much less focused and haven't been paying much attention, and we aren't in contention.

I think as with many things in life and on the site, you get what you put into it. You might not auto win with effort and fighting spirit, but it does make a big difference. Of course, you have to have the right guys, leader, research etc but if you have the foundation, a lot can change.

Samurai:

Have people on your roster that don't miss turns, communicate well, have a bit of team spirit and work hard.
That will get you a LONG way.
Sure, for success a clan needs a few very good players to lead the way, help the rest improve etc, but less than you might think.
Find four really good players, and then find 15 that can communicate, work as a team, and not miss turns, and you can make T5.
(Of course there are other aspects to consider such as map/setting knowledge, team selection etc, but still)
When you get to T5 your recruitment issues should deteriorate.

Also, if you have a few people that are willing to teach, and stay on the lookout for new talent then right there you would have an advantage over TOFU.

You can find excuses, or see life as endless opportunity.
It is never easy, but life is ever changing. Circumstances are ever changing. Identify the shifting sands, and make the most of current circumstances.
Where there is a will, there is a way.

Oh, and if you have the stomach for it, identify your weakest links, those that are dragging you down, missing turns, not contributing etc, and expel them.

I am not a founder or a leader in this game, but I have built teams before in other games. And I can say that I always preferred eager n00bs to arrogant pro's. That lesson applies far less to this game unfortunately, but still, if you can teach you can build.

I think any clan in the top 10-12 has the foundation to make the top 5 within 12 months, if they put their minds to it.

Aeternus have been top 5. Aeternus weren't built from any other clan, nor based on a group of players with prior knowledge of clans. It was something brand new to nearly every single one of us. You can talk about how you got to the top within a year, but you started with a solid core of players already in a clan who knew what they wanted to achieve and some of the ways to go about doing it.

I wasn't talking about us doing it in under a year, I'm saying other clans could do it within 12 months

or get out there and actively recruit and train new people. If your clan is dying you only have yourselves to blame.

I don't think RET was saying their clans are dying or that they need more players. ( why should they merge ? )
they are pointing out they didn't enjoy the premier division that's all as far as I understand :)
And I don't think there is any problems here. ( with the rankings, or with the clans, or with the recruitment).

Side note : LHDD always struggle to recruit, our rank doesn't have any influence on number of candidate, but ofc our specificity explains it.

My comment wasn't aimed at RET, they've always had a healthy roster.

My comment was directed about both feeling too weak to compete, so together they will be stronger.
